This year, in addition to the awarding of a cash prize to the winner of the weekly game, the Locker Room is pleased to announce its third annual season of The Locker Room Poker League. Each week, $20 will be held back from the weekly prize pool, and placed in the Poker League's prize pool. After 10 weeks of play (meaning a $200 top prize), the entire prize pool will be awarded to the player with the most points according to the point system described below, and that player will be accorded the honour of being called the Locker Room Player of the Year. Additonally, over the course of the 10 week season, buy-ins will increase to a $20+$2 format, to cover the cost of food and drinks, and to eliminate the hassle of assigning players to bring munchies. At the end of the season, receipts for all food purchases will be provided, and any remaining money will enter the League's prize pool.

The points will break down as follows: The top four players from each week of play will receive points towards the season standings, regardless of how many players actually participate in each week's game. If, for example, there were to be a week when only 3 players participated, those three players would each receive points for that week.

The winner of each week will be credited 5 points. Second place will earn a player 3 points, 3rd 2 points, and 4th a single point. After 10 weeks of play, the player with the most points in their 8 best games receives the entire $300 prize pool. The minimum number of games a player must participate in in order to be eligible to win the grand prize is 5. In case of a tie, the number of wins by each player will be used as a tie-breaker, followed by point breakdowns from a decreasing number of best games (ie: who has the best 7 game total, 6 game total...etc - until the tie is broken).

For the last 2 weeks, the top 3 players in the standings will have first crack at seats in the game, and I will do my best to schedule games in order to accommodate players, so as not to give anyone an unfair advantage. Points will be updated on this site weekly.
