It was great continuing Link’s
adventures. I enjoyed the new gadgets,
including the hook shot. The theme

One of the criticisms of this game was of
the whole simulation aspect. But I
enjoyed that part the most. I found
the battle segments intrusive and wanted more of the town-building. I guess I should had stuck with |

Great story, great characters, awesome
game. I only wish Chrono could
speak! In particular, the team attacks
were terrific. Let |

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest |

The guy at the store told me that if I
was good at Final Fantasy games, then I should not buy this one. Still, with “Final Fantasy” in the title,
how could I resist? I like the game
and the music. True, it was a bit
easier, but fun nonetheless. |

Final Fantasy III (VI) |
|
|
All in all, this is my favorite Final
Fantasy game. One of these days I need
to recreate my tip/quest page.
Fourteen characters to choose from: Celes, Locke, Terra, Edgar, Sabin,
Setzer, Cyan, Gau, Shadow, Relm, Strago, Mog, Umaro, Gogo. You can dive into each character’s past if
you wish. Great music for the
day. Try this: (1) Complete the game
without equipping Espers; (2) Don’t rescue any of your friends and finish
using only Celes, Edgar, & Setzer. |

Illusion of Gaia |

I enjoyed this game, where the hero
changes abilities based on his current identify. It wasn’t the prettiest game, but I
certainly had my fun plowing through it a few times. |

Super Mario RPG |

I rented this one and played it through
in a weekend. I had to rush back to
the video store to return it before they closed, lest they charge me with a
late fee. It was a fun game, if easy. |

I loved this game. Though the characters were a bit too
cutesy, the game had a good level of challenge, and a nice quantity of magic. |

Lufia |

I had rented this one to try it, then I
returned it within the hour, stopping by the store to buy my own copy to
keep. No sense playing through on a
cartridge I couldn’t keep! |

Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals |
|
|
This was the prequel that told the
story of how the Sinistrals came to power.
It was an interesting play, but I do recall some annoying dungeon
sequences. |

Mega Man X |

|
What can I say, the blue bomber is
awesome. Though I haven’t kept myself
up to date on his newest adventures, I always loved this guy. I even designed a few of my own enemy
robots. (Now, where did I leave those
schematics anyway… Hey, I think Dr.
Wily stole them!) |
