Senator Brett Mason

Liberal Senator for Queensland

Senator Brett Mason was elected to the Senate in October 1998 and began his term on July 1 , 1999. 

Senator Mason has been on the Liberal Party Queensland Division State executive from 1995 - 1998 and was chairman of Brisbane Federal Electorate Council from 1995 - 1997. He has been Vice-chairman on the Liberal Party State Standing committee on Policy (QLD) 1997 - 1998.

Senator Mason was born in Canberra, ACT.  He has a Bachelor of Arts and Laws at the Australian National University and has also done a Masters of Philosophy at Cambrige University.

Before entering Parliament, Senator Mason practiced as a Barrister and lectured in Ciminology at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

Senator Mason was invited to be Patron of the QUT Liberal Club in March of 1999.
