Beyond that gorgeous look, what Charlie Chin
strikes me the most is the energy and spirit he carries with him.
Sharp, confident, vivid, glamorous, mischievous and a bit wild at
heart, he is one of the most charming 70s stars and no doubt one of my
favorites. And how could you forget his intense and soulful eyes!
In his more than 20 years movie career, Charlie has made more than 100 movies spanning from comedy to drama, costume to contemporary, action to romance. He is a talented actor, a two times Golden Horse Award winner. Along with Chin Han, Brigitte Lin and Joan Lin, they made the big name of "Two Lins, Two Chins" which became the synonym of the golden age of TW romance movies.
I dedicate this page to Charlie Chin and all of the TW 70s romance movie fans. To me and I believe to many people, those 70s stars are always too endearing to be forgotten.
To me, this web site is not only about those old movies and stars, it is something more. I first watched those TW 70s movies more than 10 years ago, and those movies have greatly surpassed their own values and become part of my precious teen's memory. Now when I am abroad, far away from home, building this web site is like letting those old memories flushing back all over me.
For those old movies& stars, sweet memories & good time, and my carefree youth, cherish always and romance forever...

Brigitte & Charlie in Evergreen Tree
(Chang Qing Shu / "Timberzack"). This movie is directed by
Zhang Mei Jun and composed by Lin Jia Qing, the same director and the same
composer of "Zai Shui Yi Fang"
(The Unforgettable Character) and thus it gets the similar style as "Zai
Shui Yi Fang".
No doubt that I found the soundtrack is so beautiful. The movie is shot entirely in a mountain with all the natural forest scenes. Not quite a typical romance movie since romance is only in a lighter theme in this drama, but the young Charlie and Brigitte always brings the energy and guts being together.
When Brigitte is paired up with Chin Han, most time Brigitte is the one who dominants the relationship as Chin Han is always too gentle.
But when Brigitte is paired up with Charlie Chin, they are both so tough and strong, and even the smart Brigitte can't be dominating. That's exactly why I love this couple so much! Brigitte& Charlie forever.

This Charlie Chin's web site is a prelude to my up-coming web site of TW 70s Romance Movie. As the topic of "TW 70s romance movie" is a huge project, I decide to build the web page for each star individually.
My next project will be Lu Xiuling (Lui Sauling) the second leading lady in Qiong Yao's Superstar Inc., since she hasn't got a fan site yet and she is also one of my favorites. After that, I will start to work on Brigitte Lin (my ultimate all time favorite), Chin Han, Joan Lin, Liu Wenzheng, Kenny Bee, Chen Chen, Deng Guangrong and many other stars. Please be patient.
Most movie reviews were written in English since typing Chinese is time consuming and some fans can't read Chinese. Charlie's filmography was written in simplified Chinese (GB), you can download NJstar to view it as traditional Chinese (Big5). I created many fan arts in this web site and traditional Chinese were largely used in order to take care of fans who can't read simplified Chinese.
Since I currently live in US and my resources to TW 70s movies are very limited, you are more than welcome to share any info, reviews, articles or photos with me. Pls. email me.
