A lot of people have an 'about me' page, with really nothing about them on it, which defeats the whole purpose.... So. Be warned.
I'm a 16 year old, 5'7" tomboy with brown hair and hazel eyes that I get complemented on a lot. I'm pretty optimistic...I don't really understand how people can look at all the bad things in life...it's like a self-imposed prison. I love to have fun, and am pretty okay with who I am, and what I like to do.
I'm now a Junior in highschool, and am aiming for a 4.0 [so far I've got it...yay!]. Hopefully anatomy will let me achieve that. My sports are track [200 m. buahaha] and wrestling. I'm currently the V. 119 pounder for our high school. [Stay tuned to my journal for more on that.] It's become a huge part of my life and I can't believe I didn't start earlier. I produce [or at least try to] a monthly girl's wrestling newsletter, RMGW, for the girls in my area, and am involved pretty heavily in Journalism. Be nice to me, I control your yearbook! :P I'm also a part of the rock climbing club [<3] and a band geek and proud of it, even if I couldn't manage to fit it into my schedul this year. I would play the piano in concert and jazz band and the medium base drum when we marched or played pep band. I'm learning the guitar and would like to improve on the drumset as well.
I listen to a lot of rock, classic and other, country, and some rap. It all depends on my mood :).
My favorite color's purple, but like them all. Harleys and pick-ups are my kind of ride ;). Dad still has to fix me my motorbike lol...and until then I can't touch his Harleys :|. When I'm bored I draw, work on my site, ride my horse, or work on my story [ies]. I also like to stargaze and chill out with my friends, along with read [!!].
Some of my favourite authors are J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien, Isaac Asimov, and Anne McCaffery. I'm a huge fan of LOTR and HP, and definately a Dragonriders of Pern addict. I just finished The Traveler by John Twelve Hawks, and am working on Memiors of a Geisha by Aurhur Golden. Fantasy's my main genre, but will read anything.
We've got 4 horses--Stacy's my QH--and 5 cats, including my deaf fluffball, Cotton, and a lovely kitten. I have no clue how we've escaped getting a dog...but that's definately next on the list.
I've lived in Carlisle, PA, and Lubljana, Slovenia besides here in Colorado [military family]. They're both really cool places. Slovenia's just beautiful...the castles and caves and everything. I really like the culture there as well, and that's were I learned to ride English and jump. Lippizanners *drool*. Then PA...humid and overcast most of the time...but the people I met there were what really made it awesome.
Now we've ended up out here, on the plains. It's really pretty nice. There's a great view of the stars at night [with the exception of DIA >.< ] and it's just beautiful. I like the wide open spaces and unhumid climate. On the Land, there's a project always going on--usually involving our small cow herd. However, our house is currently being built...and I absolutely can't wait until it's done. It's pretty satisfying to be able to look out over everything and be able to say, "I did that with my own hands." We're purchasing the 80 acres next to ours, so I can bet you fencing will be a priority pretty soon too o.O.
And I just realized I haven't told you one thing yet. My name's Rachel :).
