Valon witches dead. Views himself as one of the only
true servants of the Creator. He has a heart of stone
for any Darkfriend, feels no sense of pity.

cloak with knots of rank and the Red Shepherd’s Crook
superimposed over the golden sun of the Children,
knife of the finest Tairen steel, a Tairen war horse,
and the tools of his trade as a Questioner.
Major Skill: Torture
Minor Skill: Self-Defense
Extra: Born in Godan, Tear during the summer of 962
NE. Cahal was raised to hate and fear the One Power.
His family moved to the City, Tear, in 971 NE. He
spent many nights staring at the Stone, wondering
about what it must hold inside. Cahal did not make
friends easily as a boy, but his best friend’s father
worked in the Stone, putting people to the Question.
Cahal admired the man greatly, and began to study the
“art” of torture.
The High Lords did not hire Cahal when he asked for a
job questioning prisoners. With the skills of a
torturer, Cahal went to the Children of the Light. He
was quickly accepted as an Inquisitor of the Hand of
the Light, the Hand that digs out truth. He is proud
of the red shepherd’s crook on his left breast, he is
proud of what he has become.
Cahal Sartana is currently sharing a command of a
small legion of the Children in northern Andor. Their
mission is to "determine the current status of the
White Tower." They are to learn if the Tower really
has been broken, if so they are to send for
reinforcements and possibly lay siege to Tar Valon.
The legion recently lost contact with Amador, due to
the Seanchan invasion, and has not received orders or
reports from the Spymaster in several weeks. Cahal is
in charge of a small group of Inquisitors who are to
capture and question any Darkfriends they find in the
area.
