When even Professor Zachary doesn't have the answers needed to solve their problems, the janitor turns up to individually give the students perplexing advice. He appears unsurprised at the mysterious events and seems to be watchful of Pearadyne Labs. Even when Josie confronts him about knowing that he knows more than he tells, he evades the subject. He is usually seen attending to anything leftover by the suspicious occurrences.
He claims to like reading and his living area, on the grounds of Blake Holsey, is usually not well lit. He also has some strange attachment to his mops.
The Janitor appears in a Pearadyne Industries employee photo.

In season one, the Janitor takes an active role in cleaning up the leftovers of Pearadyne Industries that are still floating around the school as well as offering advice to the Science Club when they are lost. We find out that he was once employed at Pearadyne Industries when the Science Club sees him in a Pearadyne Industries employee photo.
In season two, while still offering advice to the students, he steps down from being a major part of events. We find out that the effects of time controlling devices (Josie2's wrist device) do not affect him.
In season three, the Janitor gets assistance from Josie2 who appears frequently. Together, they watch over the Science Club and attempt to guard the timeline from any further interference. In the end, Josie does not listen to the Janitor and she disrupts the timeline to the point that Blake Holsey High becomes condemned. All is lost.

In the mirror!universe, the Janitor is just as perplexing and informative as he is in the normal universe.
