Learning About A Flower Called Daisy

If I had my life to live over I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream and less beans....If I had to do it again,
I would travel lighter than I have...I would start barefoot earlier in
the spring
and stay that way later in the fall. I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds. I would pick more daisies.

What is a DAISY??

Daisies are the you love me / you love me not flowers.

In general, the daisy is a composite flower. The single daisy flower is a cluster of minute flowers. The flower center is made up of small flowers called disk florets. The petals are themselves flowers with five fused petals, called ray florets.

These are flowers, considered by some to be uncomplicated, simple and innocent. Althoug, they are all daisises, they are called a variety of names.

Some of the most common daisies are:

• Ox-eye Daisy-Common Daisy, yellow centered, white daisies. They are perennials
  and are originally form Europe.
• Transvaal Daisy-Gerbera jamesonii, flowers can be cream, yellow, coral,
  orange, and red. They are perennials.
• Shasta Daisy-C.maximum or C.superbum, also called Silver Princess. These daisies are large white flowers with yellow centers and are perennials.
• Gloriosa Daisy-Black-Eyed Susan(Rudbeckia hirta). This is an annual plant and can be yellow or red with black or dark brown centers.
• Painted Daisy-C.coccineum, also called Pyrethram roseum. Plant type is perennial and are tri-color flowers.
• African Daisy-Arctotis Dimorphotheca species. The plant type is annual. They are native of South Africa and can be white, yellow or orange.
• English Daisy-Belles perennis. The color of these flowers can be white, rose, or red.
• Marguerite Daisy-C.frutescens. The plant type is perennial, and its color can be white, yellow or pink.
• Swan River Daisy-Brachycome species. They are originally from Australia. They can be annual or perennial, and its color can be blue, white or pink.

There is an endangered DAISY FLOWER. This flower is the Lakeside daisy. It is a state and a federally threatened plant specie. It occurs only in the Lakeside Daisy Preserve, in the state of Ohio, USA, and only at two other sites, both in Ontario, Canada.
