The
good ol' smiley -- the online emoticon :-)
-- has had its 20th birthday by now. How time flies since its debut!
The porcelain smiley -- this one is the 1970's insignia -- that I
have here, though, is even older; Mike Beck gave it to me after losing
it among his mom's ancient trinkets in a NSWian attic; I've been keeping
it carefully eversince. The retro manual clock is from S. Teddy D.,
and the terracotta bear from Adrian Santoso. God bless you, guys.
Thanks.

Pix
of my generations of cats since late 1980's. I don't like
putting up human pics around the house unless they're fictional
(Chad Kroeger is sorta, you know),
but I have these good Indonesian export
items here so cats got in. Yogya is quite proud
of its metalworks -- silver and brass especially; these picture frames
are a part of them.

Other
silverworks from Yogya, local porcelain dolls, a Siamese metal ashtray,
snowglobe of the city of Köln (Germany), and a painted fiberglass
sculpture of my late cat Billy Jefferson Hosea
on an imaginary crimson throne -- I made this item myself.

Tiny
weeny stuff -- the maximum size of individual knickknack in this cabinet
is 1.5 inches.

Woodworks
& sketches © 2000 Nin/So What
The
B&W sketches are supposed to be representations of Sanosuke
Sagara & Kenshin Himura.

Action
figures.
Left
to right: Hajime Saito, Kenshin Himura,
2 kinds of Oda Nobunaga lookalike,
and Yagyu Jubei -- the last three are depictions
according to the Onimusha Playstation console. Oda and Yagyu
were real samurai in 15th and 16th centuries, while Saito and Himura
are fictitious characters belonging to the mind of one of the manga
artists I love most, Watsuki Nobuhiro.

Homemade
wooden boxes and trinkets at one corner; painting them gave
me a long frantic tiring break. I got this harmful tendency
to make things when there is nothing to kill. My clueless little
sister calls it 'business' (click
here, she said). Only entities like the Deutsche Bank got
the nerve to exhibit this species of trashmanship. Thanks to
the merciless JPEG smoothing, you wouldn't know how far worse
they really are.

Corner
of the front room, or whatever you may call the furnitured eyesore
right behind the front door. Against my better half, the worse
half which never got any upgrade since Dick Nixon's last campaign
put the so-called fine art litter on its walls. All of them
were given by the artists themselves, even if against my will.
As seen here: paintings and sketches by Bob
'Sick' Yudhita, S. Teddy D.,
Bunga Jeruk, Dwi
Setianto, Antonius Widodo, Hanura
Hosea, Feintje Likawati,
Putu
Sutawijaya, Ugo Untoro,
and Tonny
Volunteero whom I still cannot forgive for giving me his
huge painting.

nobody ever sits on.
