H.P.K.:

Watched most of hulk last night (have about 30 minutes to go, I went to sleep...)

It has it's good and bad points.

The good:

- Ang Lee knows what he's doing in a big way. Very, very schmick directing. My only fault was that it seemed a little on and off at times. As in, I think he should've kept the comic book type thing going through even the quieter bits, but I can understand why he wouldn't. Seems like some of the stuff he was doing must've been hell for some techo editing types.

- The CGI isn't actually as bad as it looked in the previews. I thought Hulk looked ok. Maybe it was just cause I was watching it on the small tv in bed.

- Not as much Hulk smashing crap as there could've been. That's a good thing.

- The credits are bang up.

The Bad:

- The very first conversation set me out for the script being utter junk. "This is the situation I see", "Yes, and this is how our relationship stands", "Right you are and we are working on this", "True, and you are like this.", "Good, now we have to do this. Let us head to the next scene". Admittedly, it got better. It wasn't all blatant plot development crap, but I prefer my movies to have some subtlety. I would've liked them to work this in a bit more naturally over the first 30 minutes rather than lay it out on the floor bond movie style.

- It was kind of... dull... but only when I think back on it.

- Eric Bana has a dopey expression on his face 50% of the time which reminds me of his Fast Forward days. That said, he's pretty good.

All in all, I liked it, but that could be because I seem to be an Ang Lee fanboy. The direction kept me much more interested than the plot, and I don't think it would quite stand up to a second viewing... But yeah, I'd give it a RATE! (Really? - NS2K) all the same.

So there ya have it... Oh but I still haven't seen the end, so I could change my mind...

Rating: To Be Continued...
