Well, because I am no expert on RolePlaying I decided to copy and paste what I found on the old pages. I think that we should start our own section on this where everyone's views can be heard, or seen as the case may be. So, how about all of you write a little passage about what you think RolePlaying is, or wha it means to you personally. E-Mail it to me at MatronEdea@Yahoo.co.uk and I'll make a page for them!
Oh, and for those who can't be bothered to read all the way through here's a few points:
1) ANYONE can roleplay; you only need a bit of imagination (and maybe some dice).
2) We are NOT devil worshippers, satanists or anything like that. We're normal people with a normal hobby.
3) We are not a cult. We're a student society.
4) We don't have to buy any books or know any rules; that's what the GMs are for!

A Beginner's Guide to Roleplaying by H. Donovan
Having only been roleplaying for a short time, I wanted to write a clear and concise guide to explain what roleplaying is - something which I wish I had read when I first started out. This is easier said than done, but I managed to find an excellent article on the web called "Uncle Figgy's Guide to Good Roleplaying" (Dan Cope, 1998).
Dan has written a guide to roleplaying for both new and experienced players alike, and also a guide for "Games Masters" who want to perfect their "people management" skills. Whilst I have summarised Dan's wise words here, I recommend that if you have the time, the interest and access to the Web, that you check out the web sites listed below for the full versions of Uncle Figgy's Guide to roleplaying:
