The figures in both sets are made of clay. Each figure is dressed in cloth which is kept in place by a coating of glue and chalk powder. They are left to dry in the sun and after refining the surface with sand paper, they are painted in their respective colours, and thus be ready to exhibited. All this work was done by Mr. Lino Fardell from Zejtun.

The woodwork of the miniature church and the mahagony pedestals on which the statues stand was done by Mr. Emanuel Pisani and his father John, both from Vittoriosa.

The marbling and gilding is the work of Mr. Carmel Psaila and Mr. John Camilleri both from Luqa.

The designing and painting on the damask and roof of the miniature church is the work of Mr. Jeremy Cachia of Zurrieq.

The lighting used during the first and second year of exhibition was done by Mr. Anthony Azzoppardi from Zurrieq. The whole set of lighting was replaced by a new set made of white metal, done by Mr. Alfred Cauchi from Tarxien.

The flower arrangements were done by Mrs. Catherine Scicluna of Zurrieq who runs the shop "Scicluna florists" at Bronja Street, Zurrieq.

The church itself is also decorated with damask. All the sewing involved was done by Ms. Concetta Farrugia who happens to be my sister-in-law.

As a conclusion, I would like to say that the organization of the exhibition would not have been possible if not with the help of the following people:

  1. Mr. Alfred Grima.

  2. His wife, Rita.

  3. My wife, Doris.

  4. Miss Ursola Gauci.

I can assure you that it is worth paying a visit some time or another during the Holy Week.
