Cragon - Federation II

Captain

The goal of a Captain is to build up what is known as hauling credits. At the time of my promotion to Captain my credits had built up to 816 and it should not take me long to reach Adventurer.

Don't you just love Selena of the space lanes?

Federation II

Adventurer

Now while it did not take me long to go from Captain to Adventurer it will be a different story in going to the next level. Akaturi jobs and groats are what is needed and a lot of both. At the time of writing this I have completed only two AK jobs and have amassed the grand sum of 9624ig.

Cragon has the look of an Adventurer don't you think? Well perhaps not but by the time I have completed all the AK jobs needed to become a Merchant, a new photo may be in order. One showing me with a long beard. The AK jobs take longer to complete than the regular AC hauling that a Commander and a Captain does so I will be getting to know the planets even more so than I do now.

A start was made by picking up items on Titan and Brass and delivering them as per instructions. Finding all the sites will be a chore at first but I expect that after a few hundred trips on AK jobs all the locations will be second nature to me and perhaps I will be able to do them in my sleep...we shall see. Up-to-date total of my progress at Adventurer level is as follows..AK jobs completed..625...bank account is 600510ig.

All work and no play makes Adventurer Cragon a dull boy. There is a social side to Fed II that needs to be explored.

While listening to my comm unit one starry night voices could be heard playing a game called Fedpardy and having a jolly good time. Most of my time so far has been devoted to working on Akaturi jobs and listening to Fed Radio (last reported to be off the air) while flying the space lanes between planets but I am tempted to join in the fun and games.

Earth. This is where my journey began and now that I am an Adventurer some mention of this magnificent planet in Federation is required. Mapping is a requirement in Federation II for getting around without getting lost on Earth or in space. Key points such as Jarrow's Shipyard and the Armstrong Cuthbert office will be easy to find but as Akaturi jobs take you farther afield it would be helpful to have a map. The Galactic Administration Offices for example have a number of locations and it is easy to get lost in that one building alone.

It is highly recommended that time be spent mapping and exploring. Take a ride on the monorail or take a taxi from the hospital to save your feet from walking but whatever you do, enjoy the sights.

Sunday at 10PM est. I attended a Meet & Greet in the Duff Modem Tavern on Mars. Moderator Art introduced Furgas who happened to be a back up guest for Elijah who was a no show. This was a social event that was also a trip down memory lane as Furgas recalled his early days in Fed from 1995. Those memories also triggered flashbacks in my own mind.

Just bought a new spaceship and to give you an idea of what my new Mesa Class ship is like I have provided the following details:

Fuel: 100/100

Hull: 20/20

Engines: 100/100

Computer: 2/2

Cargo Space: 114/114

Hopefully the next ship I buy will hold at least 150 tons of cargo to give me double the carrying capacity that would be useful to a Merchant. For now my new ship is mostly for show.

A quick check of my AK total shows that I only have 25 more jobs to do and with the required 500000ig in the bank my promtion to Merchant can be attained. Back to work I go.
