After graduating, Scott enrolled in acting classes at the Beverly Hills Playhouse where he studied with the well-known acting coach, Carole D'Andrea. He went on to attend classes at both the Renee Harmon Commercial Workshop and the Milton Katselas Acting School.
Finally in May 1991, Scott got his big break when he joined the cast of The Young and the Restless as Ryan McNeil. Later that year, he appeared in the feature film Edge of Honor with Corey Feldman and Meredith Salinger.
On June 23, 1992, Scott and Missy had a baby girl they named Emily Taylor Reeves.
In 1993, Scott has a small role as a navy seal in the film Hot Shots! Part Deux, starring Charlie Sheen and Lloyd Bridges. He was also honored for his performance on Y&R with a Soap Opera Digest Award as Outstanding Younger Lead Actor.
Most recently, Scott and his wife Missy have settled down and had their second child, Laurence David Reeves. Larry, as the proud parents fondly call him, was born on August 4, 1997 weighing 8lbs 4oz.
Lately, Scott's been working on his music career. Scott performed with Bold and the Beautiful star Bobbie Eakes at his Fan Appreciation Event on August 7, 1998. Also, one of Scott's songs, "Time" appears on With Love From The Soaps. Other performers on the CD include Y&R co-stars Kristoff St. John (Neil) and Michael Damien (ex-Danny), General Hospital stars Brad Maule (Tony), Wally Kurth (Ned, GH; ex-Justin, Days), and Matthew Ashford (ex-Tom, GH; ex-Jack, Days).
When Scott is not working, he loves spending as much time as possible with his wife, Melissa, and their two children, Emily and Larry. He also enjoys participating in sports such as water skiing, snow skiing as well as working out at the gym.
A native of Southern California, Scott Reeves was born in Santa Monica, California on May 16, 1966. He was raised in the San Fernando Valley where he attended West Valley Christian High School. As a lover of sports, during his high school career, Scott became involved on the high school’s football and baseball teams.
Scott’s first televised role was on Days of Our Lives in 1988, where he played high school student Jake Hogansen. It was on the set of Days where he met his future wife, Melissa Brennan, who played Jennifer Horton at the time. Although they didn’t spend much time together on screen, it was off screen where the sparks flew. Their first date was at the 1989 Days Anniversary Party. Scott and Missy were married almost a year later on March 23, 1990.
After his role on Days ended in late 1988, Scott went on to costar in the Golden Globe nominated mini-series I Know My First Name Is Steven. Later that year, Scott made his feature film debut in the 1989 Paramount film Big Man on Campus which he followed with a small role in the film Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. During the horror flick, Scott was chased, above and below the sewers, by Jason. Thankfully, he survived.
In 1996, Scott appeared in the USA original made-for-tv movie Hearts Adrift, where he costarred with Sydney Penny. In 1997, he received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor on Y&R. He also starred opposite Martha Byrne (Lily, As the World Turns) in the CBS made-for-tv movie When the Cradle Falls.
