Scott Reeves Facts

  • Scott first got into acting when he was about 20 years old, in 1985. He started doing commercials and attending acting classes. Eventually, the process "snowballed" and he ended up where he is today.

  • Scott's first commercial was for Cherry Coke. "I was in a bathtub and I was clothed and it was summertime, and I'm drinking a Cherry Coke and smiling at the camera. And the theme song to the commercial was 'Cherry Oh Baby'."

  • From TVGuide: Scott Reeves (The Young and the Restless) and his wife, actress Melissa Reeves, met on Days of Our Lives in 1988. "Missy's Italian, and we love lasagna," Scott says. But a strict exercise and diet regime that allows for "as little fat as possible," as well as a conscious desire to eat and live healthier, has changed how they make their favorite food. Reeves altered his grandmother's lasagna recipe by using "lean turkey instead of beef and low-fat cheese. Amazingly enough you really have a hard time telling the difference as far as taste." Click here for the recipe.

Scott Reeves is strumming a different tune thanks to an injury he suffered in July. "I was working in my garage and I accidently cut my right index finger with a saw," says Reeves, who immediately headed for a hospital ER. Reeves was relieved to hear that his finger would be okay, although his favorite pastime - playing the guitar - was temporarily hindered. "Once my finger healed, I wrapped a bandage over it, which enabled me to play the guitar again," he reveals. "But I still need time to develop callouses over the finger so I can play the way I used to."

  • When Lauralee Bell and Christian LeBlanc were asked who the biggest prectical joker on the set was during an online chat on November 20, 1997, they answered:
Lauralee Bell: Probably Scott Reeves... well, between Doug Davidson and Scott Reeves really.
Christian LeBlanc: Yeah, that would be the two... Scott had to come in and break up a fight between Shemar and Kristoff, and he came out and ripped off his shirt and he had this big "S" underneath.
Lauralee Bell: These two characters were really going at it! And he's smaller than both of them.
Christian LeBlanc: That was the kicker!

  • During a chat on July 21, 1998 with Shemar Moore (Malcom, Y&R), he was asked what the strangest thing that ever happened to him during a taping, he stated "my character Malcolm and my brother Neil (Kristoff St. John) had a fight scene, and in the middle of the fight he pushed me, and I literally tripped and slammed my head on the back of the fireplace. They actually kept that tape for the air show. Scott Reeves -- all six foot of him -- had to break us up, had to come in the middle of two big strong black men and break up the fight!"

Lauralee: Jeanne Cooper. Mrs. Chancellor. Also really Doug Davidson and Scott Reeves are very funny men who don't get to portray that.

Although Scott says that you would never have recognized him anyway, for he had his hair parted in the middle and a space between his front teeth.

  • Recently, Scott has been working on a touring variety show called "The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful Soap Stars in Concert." He decided that it wasn’t very convinient (he and Missy had just married and Days is shot in California), so he called his agent and said he "had to go back home." When he arrived home, another audition came up, for the #1 daytime soap opera The Young and the Restless. Obviously, he got the part.
