Relient K is a 4 piece Christian punk band from Canton, Ohio. They've been around for about 4 years now. They're all about 21 years old. They started out as a worship type band, and started to do more punk stuff, because that's what they liked. They were a band in High-School and, obviously,  continued after graduation. 

Matt Hoopes (guitarist) has said, "We like to sing in tune, so that ruled out being a straight punk band." Relient K's music has been described as pop-punk, popular punk rock-n-roll, melodic punk rock, and others. I think the best description that fits Relient k's musical style is melodic/pop-punk.

Relient K's self titled release was the best selling debut album on Soundscan's Christian Rock chart for 2000. The newest release, "Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek" hit stores August 28th, 2001 and has sold 100,000 albums according to Soundscan!! They are also starting to record a new album, but there is no name yet.
