We had played our relient k CD until it wouldn't work anymore, and we couldn't wait unitl August for ANATOMY OF THE TONGUE IN CHEEK. So those rad guys, and their record label, got together and said "Hey, let's put out a 6 song EP!" So they did. 5. Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek 2001

Released on August 28th, 2001. 17 songs of punk rock n' roll with "heaps of hooks". Many people were excited for this album, and it was well worth it. Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek shows a more mature side of Relient K, lyrically, in songs like "Down in Flames," "Those words are not Enough," "For the Moments I feel Faint," and "Failure to Excommunicate."  But you can't forget the silly side, which is also featured in this album. Such as Matt liking Thundercats, and secretly wanting to be a Horse. There are 2 acoustic type worship songs, "For the Moments I feel Faint," and "Less is More." And the favorite song, Sadie Hawkins Dance, which the fans who came to the shows this summer went crazy about. Relient K also brought back the classic, "Breakdown" for this album.
