Discovering Ourselves in Literature and Life: Timeline
The following is a timeline for all activities to be completed. Activity 1:	First Day of Class
Activity 2:	1st Friday after school begins. This activity should take about 45 minutes of the class period. Students may complete at home over the weekend if needed. If so, questions are due first thing Monday.
Activity 3:	Should begin in the middle of the 2nd 6 weeks. Students should be ready to present their skits to the class the last 3 days of the 2nd 6 weeks and the first 2 days of the 3rd six weeks.
Activity 4:	This activity is to be completed after the students have read The Great Gatsby. I usually complete this in the 1st 6 weeks. If this is an outside novel it will usually take 3 weeks for the students to read. 3 days to discuss at the end and about a week to do the video comparisons.
Activity 5:	Begin the 2nd week of school. This should take 2 class periods
Activity 6:	Have students write poem during the 7th week of school. Poems should be due after 3 days of first assigning poem.
Activity 7:	This project will be completed during the semester. It will be due during the 17th week.
