-12.05.02- News! But First Some Requests.

In the last few days there's been quite a nice spike in the traffic on this 'ol page. It's great to have REO back in the flow again. But in my admiring of all the glorious new hits I noticed they mostly stop at the main page. Only about 10% of the people or so check out the other goods.

What other goods you ask? Well, the recently published review of Betrayal at Krondor done by Iskandar where it gives details on how to get the game for free! Still not sure what to think of the latest Starfox episode? Then read up on Ellesar's Starfox Adventures review. Beat Onimusha 2 on Hard Mode yet? (Yeah right). Then learn how with Legendary Sword's Onimusha 2 FAQ located in the "Features" section. The point is that there's more to REO than some news tidbits so check it out, and keep an eye out for future reviews and features as well.

The new Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker finally has a US release date! Expect the game to hit retailers on March 24, 2003. Yeah, that's a while away still, but you just know it's gonna rock no matter how much crap people talk about so mark your calenders now. The bonus disc featuring Ocarina of Time and Ura Zelda are set to be offered to selected preorders. The Ura Zelda expansion was from the ill fated 64DD and is basically an expansion of Ocarina of Time. It doesn't really do much but change the dungeon puzzles and jack the difficulty level up a bit. But now pundits can say that with this release there effectively was no reason to own an N64 at all. Har har people ... what about Goldeneye?

Also coming to the Game Cube is Summoner 2, but under the moniker of Summoner: The Prophecy. A THQ entity known as Cranky Pants is doing the deed, and it should be out towards the middle of January. I know there's a real chasm of RPG's on the Game Cube but Summoner? I mean c'mon already, give me some .hack or even Wild Arms ports! I'm dying here! (Ok, Summoner 2 is a decent game, but still...)

For all you claymation fans out there a new game starring the duo of Wallace and Gromit is on the way. It features the haphazard heroes battling an evil penguin who has kidnapped animals from the zoo to take part in his evil plot. Information remains sparse, but hopefully it will escape the fate of many liscensed games and be something as great as the hero's short films eh.

Lastly I hope to high heavens you haven't bought any games this week, what with the boycott and all. If you remember a while back the Fairplay campaign was started to voice their discontent about the state of the gaming industry. I don't think it's brought them to a death kneel yet, but you just have to hold out until December 8th ok? At least I think that's right, I haven't paid very close attention since I've pawing through this huge stack of games in front of me. *drools*
