-12.21.02- Do Not Power Off When Saving

For those that think there are too many movies coming out that are based on video games, well, your right. And now there's word of a movie based on the Onimusha series. So far not much is known about the movie, but the producer of the Resident Evil movie is on board. Given the strength of the Onimusha game series however the movie idea at least has a strong start, and could possibly be the one that bucks off the bad stigma attached to the genre.

If you've forgotten all about the Xenogears prequel Xenosaga then it might perk up your ears that it does in fact finally have a US release date. Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht will be shipping to retailors on Feb. 25, 2003. You can check out the official Xenosaga website for more information on the game as well. It's kind of cool and actually has some real information on it, unlike most companies sites that consist of one graphic or some crappy flash thing.

In the game that seems to be getting more fanboy service like by the minute some new details of Final Fantasy X-2 details have come out. Apparently a new component dubbed the "dress sphere" exists that allows the characters to change their attire during battles. By opting to use the "dress sphere" the character also changes their respective class, giving them different abilities and a new sexy getup possibly stolen from Christina Aguilera's wardrobe. Sweet!

For all the old school Sega fans you'll be happy to hear of a new Gameboy Advance title in the works. Called Sega Arcade Gallery it features four classic Sega games including Afterburner, Outrun, Space Harrier, and Super Hang-On. Even today these games are still a blast. Anyone who wasted hours playing Space Harrier and Hang-On in the arcade in Shenmue can attest to that. Or at least I can...

Lastly that super goliath of PC gaming, the Sims, is coming to the Playstation 2. I can't imagine many who haven't already given the game a go on the PC, but if not now a whole new batch can practice building pools in their kitchen, having 5 wives, and finding out how long your poor sim people can go without food ... like some sickos might do if they had that game.

Well, that's all for today. For those that may recall the great REO Tournament of Doom we have good news. It's back! Stay tuned for an announcement in the near future of the new, improved version that's on it's way. So long.
