Glennie, real name, Glen Chowler,  is an English friend hailing from Cleethorpes in the North of England.
As far as I know, he is 47 (circa 2000), lives in the company of Helen, an Irish gal, and has one little son, Dylan,
works as a District Nurse, and has a lot of comments about life, sports, and the Grateful Dead.

I do not know about their cider but you should have a look for all the photos on England Cricket & Cricketers

Fast goes fast, slow goes slow, everybody's doin the lo yo-yo....

Greetings to one and all, speaking here to you live from a not so sunny (it's overcast again shock horror sensation) Hessle by the Humber... yes it's sunday mid-day and Helen is at work and Dylan continues to make a mischief of his 2.5 years. The fun starts soon for the Roo-boy and boy is it FUN.......

Looks like the 'Tiger' is on his way to victory up in Jock-land and it's a race for second place..must admit that golf is not my game (good walk spoiled n'all that stuff) but with no other sport on today (ok the Tour de France is coming to a finale as well) its very difficult not to get some news over the airwaves..

England slugged the Zim's yesterday now they can return to their burned out farms and squatters, not much fun there then?? Stewie could have re-written the history books if he had just taken 3 last singles instead of trying to blast Streak out of the ground....c'est la vie at least we can look forward to some more test matches against the creakin windies....

Believe it or not the Jocko footie season starts next week!!!! fuckin mad kilted bastards eh and the inter-toto cup is in full swing with Villa and Bradford trying for that elusive place in the UEFA cup.....

However the real reason to send this e-mail is that I was sitting surfing the net while listening to Radio 5 live and they announced that a shock result had occured in the Cricket Euro Championships in Scotland...that Italy had beaten Denmark (the bacon fried by the pasta munchers?)  so I thought I'd look up the website  http://www.cricket.org/  otherwise known as cricinfo...and low and behold the star of the Italian innings was none other that Mr Di Venuto and working on the assumption that Michael is in Derby (having looked at the fixtures he should be in Chelmsford playing Essex in the Sunday league) it has to be Peter......in a frightening little Scottish town called Linlithgow ( 15 miles west of Edinburgh on the M9) the eey-ties hit 242-7 in 50 with Di Venuto 92 and Giordano 77 with the Danes replying with 233-9 in 50.
Watch this space eh?? this could be the start of something big?
I rang Micheal last week but Peter was not there he will return after the tournament.

Other results in Division 1

Try and find a woman good to me...
Not to hide my liquor, try to serve me tea...........

Truth be known am on the wagon for a while, headin down to London in a couple of weeks to take in the Notting Hill Carnival, the Dome, London Eye, Tate Modern and anything else that takes our fancy eh..... oh and a few good sessions with Helens bro-in-law (Rusty) and anyone else that we bump into eh?

Drivin that train high on cocaine, casey jones you better watch your speed....
Trouble ahead...trouble behind...
and you know that notion just crossed my mind...

Sorry but am in a very heavy grateful Dead phase and it's hard not to wander arround continually quoting the lyrics as I give an old biddy her medicine..
Just finished a large volume on Garcia....excellent book which gave me the inspiration to buy Workingmans Dead and the album commonly known as Skull and Roses......also have ordered a triple album called Dick's Picks Volume 7 which is a compilation of 3 concerts they did at the Alexandra Palace in London in 1974 of which I had the pleasure of attending one of them. Only thing is I had to order it from Amazon.com in the USA and it usually takes a week or two to get over here (mainly as I opt for 2nd class travel on the next Albatross)  However they are very reasonably priced at 16 dollars for a triple album...

Am reading quite a lot these days, don't get any inspiration from our lame TV schedules, the odd test match and ossacional cricket or some footie is allways good for a watch, in fact the new season kicks off this weekend with the Premier league next week, only seems like yesterday when we had Euro 2000.

Hope all is well over in Rising Sun Land, guess it's summer there too. the weather hear has picked up considerably the last week or so with quite high temps this weekend forecast. Fuck the weather eh?

Booked my ticket to see THE Dylan on Sept 22nd at Sheffield Arena, never had the plearure before so am really looking forward to that. Still workin out at the gym BIG-time and am now down to 81.4 kgs of throbbin gristle........heading for some longevity eh...fuckin hope so or it is a waste of time eh.

Did they ever find that english chick that went missin?? lost all touch with it, don't get to read a paper most days, only at the weekend and nothing on our news bullitens. Saw a great film the other week, High Fidelity with john Cusack, excellent dude. Also got to see Summer of sam on Video, was the last Spike Lee movie. Aslo managed to pick up an old Beefheart CD, Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller) on of his last but best.

Hope they are treating you well and havin a good time, work goin well and plenty of fun and games, give my regards to the good lady and better shove off now and get Dylan to bed or he will be up all night. 3rd Test starts at Headingley next week then the final one at the Oval, if we are down there I may hit that for a day, who knows could hit it lucky

Keep up the good work and remember, keep a clean nose, watch for plain-clothes, you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.......

Yo dude
Glennie
