IP trace utility.


Syntax

PATHPING /?

PATHPING [-4 IPv4] [-6 IPv6] [-g host_list] [-h max_hops] [-i ip_address] [-n] [-p period] [-q num_queries] [-R] [-r] [-T] [-w timeout] target_name


Parameters
target_name (NT2000)
Specifies IP address to test.

Switches
/? (NTXP)
Displays help.
-4 IPv4 (NT2003)
Specifies use IPv4 only.
-6 IPv6 (NT2003)
Specifies use IPv6 only.
-g host_list (NT2000)
Loose source route along host_list.
-h max_hops (NT2000)
Max number of hops to search. Default 30.
-i ip_address (NT2003)
Specifies the source address.
-n (NT2000)
Don't resolve addresses to hostnames.
-p period (NT2000)
Wait between pings (milliseconds). Default 250.
-q num_queries (NT2000)
Number of queries per hop. Default 100.
-R (NT2000 through NTXP)
Test if each hop is RSVP aware.
-r (NT2000 ONLY)
?
-T (NT2000 through NTXP)
Test each hop with Layer-2 priority tags.
-w timeout (NT2000)
Wait timeout for each reply (milliseconds). Default 1000.
