Stop hugging me |
Why do strange men feel the need to grab me?
I'm serious! Does it happen to anyone else? Because I experience it all the time. Every now and then I am just walking down the street and some totally strange guy lunges at me. He's not trying to rob me or rape me or anything... just a deep-seated need to hug somebody, I guess. Now, I have nothing against hugging people but I do draw the line at total strangers.
As you might've gathered someone was trying something on me again this weekend. I'm not sure what his intentions were since I felt it wiser not to discuss it with him. Granted, the guy was drunk at the time (which at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon is not exactly a great thing) but I've had seemingly sober guys try something similar. Why are they doing this? I'm not exactly the prettiest person in the world! Maybe I look like I need a hug? Maybe I look like I'm a hugger? Whatever it is, would you please stop it! Seriously!
That was pretty much the most interesting part of my weekend. My grandmother was visiting and checked out the Hellhole. And gave me money! I was happy to see her and I was happy to see the money since I was totally broke. Does that make me a shallow person? I promised to write an essay about the piracy of digital media and had many thoughts I thought I'd like to share here. But after the struggle I went through to write it, I just didn't have the mental energy to make all my far-fetched crazy ideas known. Suffice to say most of them revolved around how the world would be a better place if Microsoft no longer ruled the market, prices dropped and I wouldn't have to struggle with Linux anymore.
Oh, and I played the sims again. I haven't done that in a long time and I haven't even felt the need to do it, but it was fun. I think I'm going to write another part of the sims-stories about the events of this weekend but the situation in short was the following:
- Urkle asked Megan to bear a child for him and Justin. Since Megan still has a soft-spot for Urkle she agreed to do it. Urkle successfully impregnated her while Justin was going around hating her guts and desiring to slap her. Some divine force, i.e. me, was stopping him, though...
- After baby-Jason was born, Justin decided to quit his job to take care of him. Unfortunately he fell asleep and the Social Services took Jason away. Megan was furious and decided to go back to Colin who, only recently, had found that there was something wrong when his wife wasn't at home at night. Not too bright, is he?
- In the meantime, a new man called Jack Sparrow moved into the neighbourhood and started charming ever woman in sight. Except for Claire, since the god, i.e. me again, does not like her. I think she's going to meet her demise soon.
- Urkle and Justin decided to pursue alternate women to finally get a child. Urkle managed to seduce Shelley who left her other baby to go and live with them. Justin doesn't like her either but Urkle seems to be under her blonde spell.

This week is going to be fun! First of all because I have money again, but also because there's a lot to do and most of it is so much fun. A small run-through:
Monday - Work. In the evening I'm doing the final check on the friend's accounting with him so it will finally be ready. Which means I get even more money! (you notice how I'm a total money freak? That's because I don't have any!)
Tuedsay - A seminar on taxes. Not the most fun, I admit, but at least it's a change and leaves the afternoon free. Also, I'm going shopping for a stove. So, everyone! Tuesday night! I'm at home, cooking! Stop by!
Wednesday - Work. I have the Matrix Revolutions tickets for the 7 o'clock show. Can't wait!
Thursday - Work. I probably spend the evening cleaning the flat to get it ready for the weekend.
Friday - Work. After work I run home and meet with Ricardo who's coming to Tallinn to help me set up for the weekend. I probably end up making the cake and get him to chop something.
Saturday - I will drag Ricardo to do the shopping and make him carry the stuff. What joy! We go back to my place and prepare the rest of the food. By then the rest of the Tartu Political Science crew (Bryan, Rogelio, Tom - whom I've left out of the cast-listing for some reason but will include later - and Sally who's not exactly studying Political Science but...) should arrive and we can finally start the celebration of Ricardo's birthday/my housewarming. The housewarming is the first of many and I don't even know of how many.
Sunday - Probably sleep till noon. Then take the people to town for coffee (Wayne's, where else?). Will get them on the bus and spend the rest of the day mourning the loss of the good old Uni days.
Fun week, wouldn't you say?
