WEEKLY BRAINSCAN: 04/01/02

Entry 8: April 1, 2002: Hey I'm updating my brainscans and even though it's April 1st, this is no April Fools Joke. So I missed out on trying to update weekly. Oh well, close enough.

---------------------

So Wrestlemania happened recently. What was the crowd thinking? Those canadians are wacky, aren't they. They singlehandedly ended up making Hulk Hogan one of the biggest Babyfaces in the industry again by cheering their heads off at him. Was this 1988 again? I thought it was a common thing that everyone hated Hogan now. Actually, although the match itself sucked, the atmosphere of the crowd did make the Rock/Hogan match something to remembered. Now the WWF has a perfect excuse to turn the Rock heel because the fans turned on him. A heel Rock would be great. He has become stale within the last year or two and turning heel would be the best route to go. But they won't probably because of this stupid Scorpion King movie coming out. Hopefully it will bomb and give more incentive for the Rock to turn heel because his fans didn't go to see the movie.

---------------------

The new Raw started tonight and let me tell you that theme song sucks. Ugh, it was awful. Of course, I found this out on Saturday when I bought the new WWF Forceable Entry CD and listened to the full version of it. The CD itself is actually pretty good but that song it just crap. It'll probably grow on me though, I hope.

Austin signed with Raw which was the best move considering the Raw roster is rather weak compared to the Smackdown roster. And Eddie Guerrerro came back. YES! Now Eddie can show heels how it's done. That's part of one my predictions from a few brainscans back coming true.

I can't believe they are getting rid of the WCW belt. Now WCW is officially dead(unless they keep the Crusierweight belt that Tajiri has). I love that belt and thought it looked way better then the WWF one and the new Undisputed one. At least they still are placing the champion's name on the belt. I always thought that was a nice touch.

---------------------

Ok, enough wrestling. Let me brag that I won $50 from Maryland's NCAA Tournament win tonight. Karl, you still owe $5 for it in case my brother didn't tell you that you were in the sweet 16 poll. I want my money!

---------------------

Finally, there are some movies coming out that I am actually interested in. Of course, as you can see from my homepage that I want to see Spider-Man when it comes out. And there's no doubt I want to see Star Wars: Episode II(I won't even acknowledge the stupid sub-title of the movie). But I also want to see Blade II being a fan of the first movie. That National Lampoon Van Wilder movie looks good and National Lampoon is usually quality stuff. That Changing Lanes movie with Ben Affleck and Samuel L. Jackson looks very interesting also. I'll probably end up seeing none of these with the exception of Spider-Man and Star Wars II. I haven't been to a movie since Lord of the Rings earlier this year or was that late last year. I can't remember now. Before that it was Zoolander last Fall.

I have fell in love with Dunkin Donuts Cinnamon Raisin Bagels toasted with Cream Cheese. However, I hate the guy who makes them for me. Sometimes after I come home from Bootleggers at 2am, I'm hungry and I stop to get this bagel. The Pakistanian guy taking my order though always gives me the evil eye when I ask him to make this bagel. Like, Oh No, it's 2 in the morning. How many other freaking customers are you going to get! Lazy bastard. Make my sandwich! I'm sorry I made you put a little more effort into your work instead of just grabbing donuts and putting them in a box!

---------------------

Why oh why did Celine Dion come back. I thought she retired. LEAVE ALREADY YOU NO TALENT HACK!!

---------------------

I saw Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back on DVD the other night. Pretty funny movie. I love how they combined characters from all his previous movies. It was great seeing Randall and Brodie again, my two personal favorite Kevin Smith characters. However, the best part of the DVD was the Bonus Disc. Man, this took longer to watch then the movie itself. There were 45 deleted scenes along all introduced one by one by Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes themselves. Now this is how a DVD is supposed to be done.

---------------------

WHY IS OPRAH WINFREY ON MY TV! It's bad enough she's on in the afternoon but they have to repeat her at midnight too?!?!?! Book David Letterman on your show already you fat huffer!

---------------------

Lately, I feel like my life is at a standstill. I mean I have a college degree and now a car and a license but I have no idea what to do with my life. I feel very stagnant and have no direction in which to go at the moment. I'm working at this stupid job at the tobacco store giving out Lottery tickets and hitting on the 16 year olds in the Pretzel stand in front of the store. There must be more to life than this. I have a Journalism degree but have no idea what to do with it. I look in the paper for jobs but there is nothing even closely related to what I want to do. And of course, don't ask me what that is because I haven't figured it out yet. I really don't want to go back to school because the thought of homework again just freaks me out but it may have to be an option if I continue on my present course. I'm a Journalism major but really have no interest in writing for newspapers. Magazines would be good to write for but I need experience to do so. And the only experience I know I could probably get is to write for the Town Talk. That's an option I haven't weighed out yet. The Daily Times shot me down as soon as I graduated from college saying I didn't have any writing experience. Then what good is my degree!!! I wouldn't mind working an office job in a college around here like Penn State or Widener or the like but how do you get a job like that? I tried Penn State Delco and they told me to go to the internet site and apply for the only open job they had there. Of course, I get home and there is no mention of this job at all. And the worst part is that I thought I would feel a little better if I wrote this all down and maybe get my thoughts down on screen but I don't feel any better at all and still have no idea what to do.

Well I've whined and complained enough for one day. Catch ya next time.
