Entry 10: October 15, 2003: Well, it's been a long time since I've written any of these. I've been trying to come up with a more accurate name other than the weekly part but I haven't thought of anything good yet. Anyway, I just had a little of the writer's bug so I thought I would update some things to anyone who cares.

---------------------

First, I want to go over the wrestling predictions I had made at the end of 2001 for the year 2002 and see how many of them came true. Yea, I know it's 2003, sue me. Here it goes:

Prediction # 1: I said that Jericho would lose the Undisputed title sometime in the beginning of 2002 against HHH not to see it again until Summertime. Well I was half right. He did lose the belt in March 2002 to HHH but he has yet to see it again, even close to 2 years later. Prediciton # 2: I said that RVD will become one of the biggest names in wrestling, after Rock and Austin, and will headline a pay per view without it having to be a triple threat match. Well, this became slightly true. He did become a bigger name but not as big as a Rock or Austin and if I recall, he headlined a pay-per view against HHH for the title but lost. Since then, he's been depushed and debunked and WWE has ruined another successful career. Prediction # 3: I said that Benoit will come back on a tear and will finally establish himself as a main event player and he will see Heavyweight Gold by year's end. Well once again, I was half right. Benoit did come back on a tear and he still is ripping it up whenever he wrestles but there hasn't been even a hint of a sign that they will be giving him any heavyweight title soon.

Prediction # 4: I said that Flair will turn heel by the summer. Yes this one did happened but I can't remember if it happened during the summer or fall. Of course, this was an obvious one because Flair always turns heel. Prediction # 5: I said that Kevin Nash will be in the WWF by the beginning of Feb. and that I wasn't making a prediction on whether or not Hall will be with him since Hall is so unpredictable. Well I was dead on about this. Nash did debut with not only Hall but Hogan as the NWO at the Feb. Pay-Per View No Way Out. Prediction # 6: I stated that we will not see Sting or Goldberg in the WWF this year. This was also dead on. Goldberg didn't debut until 2003 and although there's been rumors, Sting has yet to debut in a WWE ring.

Prediction # 7: I stated that Scott Steiner will be in the Royal Rumble as a surprise entry. Well, this was off by about 9 months. Instead of debuting at the Royal Rumble, he arrived at the Survivor Series. Prediction # 8: I stated that Hurricane Helms will continue to get pushed and then depushed and then pushed and then depushed, sort of like he is now. This is definitely true, between being pushed as tag champs with Kane and then being put back as a comedy routine later on up until today where he is getting a minor push with Rosey, even though they pretty much killed that with Kane decimating them last Monday. Prediction # 9: I predicted that Eddie Guerrero will come back and become an upper mid-card heel showing the other heels how it's done. This was true. He came back early 2002 destroying RVD and becoming one of the best heels WWE had to offer. Of course, now instead of being a successful Heel, he has quickly become one of the most successful faces around, even though he still uses his heel schtick.

Prediction # 10: I predicted that no one will care about Tough Enuff 2. Yep, and even less people cared about Tough Enough 3. The fact that the 2 people who won Tough Enough 2 or just valets now and not even wrestlers just goes to show how much a failure that show was. Prediction # 11: I predicted that Tazz will finally get a decent size push only to be depush as soon as fans start caring. Well, this didn't happen. I don't think Tazz has even stepped into a ring since I wrote that prediction. Prediction # 12: I predicted that Undertaker will finally retire after no selling his last match. Unfortunately, this hasn't happened yet. He's still no-selling though.

Prediction # 13: I predicted that Kane will unmask to reveal that he never had a burned face after all and that he lied to everyone the whole time. He will become a hated heel because of this. Well, I was a year off by this prediction. Kane did unmask but not in 2002. And it was revealed that he didn't have a burned face. He is now a hated heel but not really because he lied but because of his actions as of late. Prediction # 14: I predicted that Edge's push will fail but Christian's push will be successful. This is a tough one to call. Edge was getting a decent size push that was successful until he got injured. They didn't really start pushing Christian until this year, not 2002. And I wouldn't really call his push successful even though he won the Intercontinental title twice. Tough call, but I'll say this prediction didn't happen the way I said it would. Prediction # 15: I predicted that Maven will learn more moves other than a dropkick. Yea, I think it's safe to say that he learned a few new moves, although not many more. Maven has been the only good thing about Tough Enough.

Prediction # 16: I predicted that X-Pac will turn face and get booed. Wow, I was so off-base with this one. X-Pac didn't even last the year in WWE. He went over to NWA-TNA, became Syxx-Pac, married Chyna and beat her up in real life. Nope, no face change for him. Prediction # 17: I predicted that Lance Storm will finally get respected. Another off-base one. Matter of fact, instead of him getting respected, he got disrespected by Austin and called boring by him and the crowd. Although, just recently, he did turn face and stood up to Jericho while defending Austin. So maybe there heading in the right direction with him but I doubt it. Especially, since they have been portraying him as a goofball lately.

Well after reviewing my predictions, I say I batted about a .500. I had seven predictions that were right and seven predictions that were wrong, even though one of them (the Kane one) did happened but not until 2003. Then, I had 3 predictions that were half right, where one part of the prediction became true but the other part didn't. So I guess that's not a bad average. Maybe I'll have better luck next time.

---------------------

Well, I was going to write more about some other things but I think I will save them for a future Brainscan. It will give me a reason to write again in the near future. Possibly, by this weekend. But don't hold me on that.
