1. Junior Equitation
|
Competitors are l8 years of
age or younger. In Junior Equitation on the Flat, the rider’s
position and effectiveness is judged. The competitors will
be asked to walk, trot, and canter in both directions of
the ring. At the discretion of the judge, simple individual
tests may be requested. The horse is not judged in Equitation.

2. Senior Equitation
|
Competitors are over l8 years
of age. In Senior Equitation on the Flat, the rider’s position
and effectiveness is evaluated. Competitors will be asked
to walk, trot, and canter in both directions of the ring.
At the discretion of the judge, simple individual tests
may be requested. The horse is not judged in Equitation.

3. Open English Pleasure
|
Horses are judged at all three
gaits (walk, trot, and canter) on the basis of how smooth
and comfortable they appear to be to ride. They are also
judged on manners and disposition.

4. Open Hunter Under Saddle
|
Horses are judged on their
manners and way of moving at the walk, trot, and canter,
in both directions of the ring. Hunter Under Saddle horses
are expected to have excellent manners, and efficient and
comfortable gaits. At the discretion of the judge, horses
may be required to gallop one way of the ring (but never
more than 8 horses at one time).

5. Training Working
Hunter |
Working Hunter horses
are judged on their style and movement, the overall picture,
and the quality of their jumping. The competitor is expected
to complete a course of natural jumps at a steady and controlled
pace. Maximum Jump Height: 2 feet 6 inches |

9. English Leadline |
Open to riders under
the age of 8 and under as of January 1st. To be lead by a
competent handler. Riders can not enter any other class at
the show except Western Lead Line. |

10. Beginner Walk-Trot |
Open to all riders
of any age who are in their first or second year of showing.
The judge will require competitors to walk-trot in both directions. |

Hunter |
In the class competitors
complete an actual course of small jumps at a steady and controlled
pace. The horse is judged on its form over fences, way of
going, and performance. This course may be completed at a

14. President's
Class - English
& Driving |
Open to all riders. English or Western
as well as driving. Horses are judged on creative application
of their maneuvers and athletic ability, demonstrated through
the entrant's use of musical score to choreograph their
performance. Can enter individual or in a pair or group.
Costumes are permitted, but may not obstruct the Judge's
view of the horse. Program should be approx 2-4 mins. To
be judged by 3 judges.
Elements Required by English Riders:
1) Square halt, 2) Trot out of halt, 3) Trot circle in each
direction, 4) Canter circle in each direction.
Elements Required by Diving: 1) Halt,
2) Back up, 3) Trot a circle in each direction, 4) Difference
between slow trot and medium trot.
