Q: I purchased a new Hewlett-Packard laptop, with Windows Vista, in February. I tried to download iTunes, but it seemed to disconnect my free virus cleaners onlineDVD Writer program. Eric Barton and Kris Jenkins were college teammates at the University of Maryland and have been reunited in the pros with the Jets.
But when the veteran Barton was asked Monday if he had any good stories about Jenkins, all he noted was that "he does make a great omelet."
Fitting that would be Jenkins' breakfast choice, because as opposing offensive linemen have discovered, he's very difficult to pancake.

In terms of what the level of progress is going to be each week, I can't predict that, but it's got to be progress and the concern becomes when you take a step back, as opposed to a step forward." Gholston's learning curve from 4-3 defensive end to 3-4 outside linebacker has been a steep one. —P Reggie Hodges finally made his Jets' debut and had two punts for a net of 32.0 yards, although one of them went to the Cincinnati 4, where Antonio Chatman made an ill-advised fair catch. "He didn't get many shots," Mangini said of Hodges. "I thought the punt that he had there to pin them down at the 4 was good. (LG Alan Faneca and TE Chris Baker allowed the takedowns.) Jerricho Cotchery and Laveranues Coles each had eight catches. RUSHING OFFENSE: B — No, the overall numbers weren't great, but the Jets were effective inside the opponent's 10-yard-line for a change. Thomas Jones, who had 65 yards on 17 carries, had two rushing touchdowns, the same amount full releases virus he'd had in his previous 20 games as a Jet.
