![]() [Note from editor: This moyshe kapoyer again! well, there's nothing but to wade through... Meshuganah.] Upon taking the Throne, Angharad of House Liam receives suprise and welcome guests. She does not recognize her parents who enter the freehold, walking freely within like so many kithain. They plead longingly with her to come home with them and live her days in memories and beauty, and to end her relationship with these strange, dark, brooding friends of hers. However, when someone tries to step in their chosen path, the father's face grows huge and grotesque, and scares all those brave souls assembled with his trollish visage. After some moments, and the stunning realization that he father's face less often angered, Angharad realizes these are not her true parents and shoots them with her sorcerous Bow of legendary powers to rival Caliburn itself (given to her by Count Llnnwd, when she was taken like so many before her to his underwater castle after being found by August, as a Sain Day gift). In the tumult which follows they disappear as though they were never there. And yet they return from time to time, each time they are dispelled, they seem to grow in power until they are like to swallow the earth whole...
Baroness Angharadh of Liam in her Wisdom offered quest to destroy these Nightmare Parents which plague bother her and her Barony. None accepted, because of her House Fealty to Liam... who would swear an oath to her? Some found themselves involved in the quest by chance, however, against their will. Gustav the Black and a Nocker James Nelson happened upon the Nightmares peering out behind a tree, their gigantic and grotesque forms easily hidden. Gustav ap Gwydion did his House proud, using a mundane weapon and shooting at them with a gun. The entire assembly took hunt after them, with a marvellous hue and cry. |

The Wyld Hunt discovered the pair in a nearby military base, its grand fortress long abandoned. Halfdan quietly enchanted and subdued the human Pinkerton security, fearing no repurcussions in the manner of his House. The Hunt chased the monsters through the deep warren of the Armed Fortress, and in the way of Gwydion, Gustav slipped into his seeming to avoid the dark sorceries that Baroness Angharadh bravely redirected on him to save herself ... he was at the front of the war-line and held up his allies, leading with wisdom inerent to Gwydion, and so his clever plan almost lost their quarry, but failed and the hunt resumed. Someone enchanted him and they continued, "discovering" the nightmares again in the form of Baroness' parents. Gustav attacked with Iron, Slaying the monstrous father. Alas! The nightmares had tricked them into discovering the *real* parents and thus their grand quest had further glorious butchery in its pursuit. Gustav of Gwydion stopped, but the Nocker Nelson persisted and hit the Mother also with his hammer, a grievous blow about the head, until finally she was struck senseless.
With allies such as these to further her plans she could not but succeed. At last, the Baroness Angharad tricked her own Nightmares... pretending to look for her parents, she lured them out. These Nocnitsae skulked behind her through all the way, until the Baroness found the Nightmarish Chimera in another room and attacked them, leading the charge as Liam are wont to do. In the end it was the pristine sword of House Laim which defeated them finally, but her parents lay bleeding and dying on the floor by the brave actions of House Gwydion, who never leave a foe standing. In the end, only an Oath with a Common Sluagh allowed the Baroness Angharadh to gain the power to heal her parents. [Note from editor: Oy, so what is this? Here's the depth that I can fathom: This Greener Baroness is pursued by two Shtarker Nocnitsae that schlup the form of her parents, yes? Then, two groups go on a Hue and Cry, or is it only the one? Bulvan Pooka. Arright - so one group finds the Nightmares, and put's 'em paid, but the other finds her real parents, and the Gwydion Bandit Mouzik does for them. This Balebos Angharadh had her work cut for her.] |
