Description; the late Purple Archer is brought back! Hawkeye is another beautiful Marvel Legends piece. He's about 6" tall, has a LOT of articulation that captures his mauve and dark purple armor. His arms are also special designed to hold his bow and arrows in a drawing position. The figure also comes with a bow, arrows, quiver, and a special sky cycle. |

Ok, what kinda karma does Hawkeye have? From the beginning, this guy has basically been Green Arrow without a cool costume. (Hey, let's be frank here, that get-up ain't as cool as GA's.) THEN he's first dragged into being a criminal. He finally gets his props and becomes the head of West Coast Avengers, and his wife gets killed. THEN WC Avengers is dissolved. And now? The poor guy is dead. Baaaaaaad karma. Even Spidey and Iron Man are looking and going 'Wow, sucks to be you.' As disastrous as Hawk's life has been, his toy existence has been... well... even worse. Doh! As a member of umpteenth super-hero teams, and one of the very faithful members of the Avengers, this poor guy never got a lot of respect as a figure. Well, Marvel Legends has done a very good job of making up for lost time and opportunities with a lot of characters (As well as re-hashing Wolverine until the end of days. Doh!) and they continued that tradition with this piece. Ok, so he's gone... but he sure ain't forgotten! Meat and potatoes are typical Marvel Legends; beautiful. The figure has a ton of articulation, as usual. However, a nice detail ToyBiz threw in is the arms have a few extra joints so that the figure can hold his bow and arrow in a firing position. It’s extra details like this that make ML figures so much fun to have and display. And as usual there’s the outstanding sculpting on the piece capturing even the compartments containing extra arrowheads on Hawkeye’s tunic. Perks are outstanding, like most of the ML line. Bow, half-dozen arrows each with a different arrowhead, AND a sky-cycle. And like the other display pieces from the ML lines, there’s a nice hole in the base so that this can be mounted on a wall. Sweeeet! Homer factor? Hey, if you're recreating the Avengers, you GOTTA get this guy! Final verdict? This is a great piece... just don't walk under any ladders or pass black cats with this figure.
