Oh, but the perks don’t stop there! Star Convoy also comes with a Micromaster version of Hot Rod, which is also VERY detailed and has moving arms! So is Hot Rod a pilot, passenger, innocent bystander? I frankly have no freaking idea, but it’s kinda cool to have the character that would become Rodimus Prime riding shotgun for Star Convoy.
And finally, this thing is motorized! Ok, ok, so now it sounds kinda Fisher Price. The tracks in the vehicle mode can move, and those same tracks help this thing ‘walk’ in ‘bot mode as well. And THEN those same tracks become ‘moving walkways’ on the ‘landing strip/staging area’ of the base mode. Whew!
Homer factor? Come on folks! Biiiiiiig version of Convoy with cool modes, what’s not to like?
The final verdict? This is a fun piece to have; it’s multitude of forms make it a blast to mess with AND to display. Just be aware this is a reissue AND an import, so the price tag is kinda painful. However, if you’ve got the spare change, this is a sweet new figure to have.
