Ahhhhhhhh... that wonderful time of year for fan-boys/girls everywhere. Ok, time for loot. Yeah, yeah, it's better to give then to receive, blah, blah, blah. ... ok, I have honestly noticed that I really do like to give people stuff and see their faces when they like it. Still, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool to get stuff. So here's my X-mas list. Hehehehehehehehehe.
1. PlayStation 2, Sony. Yes, I'm dreaming. Yes, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. However, after seeing bits and pieces of Madden 2001 for the PS2, I have no qualms about jumping on, even if I have to hang on to the rail. Not to mention the backwards compatibility and the ability to play real DVDs. And if I don't like it? I'll jump on the OTHER band wagon and sell the thing on eBay for $1000 and get a Dreamcast. Graphics are good enough, tons o' games, and most important, you can actually buy one without being mugged.
2. Great Goldran, Takara. 'What the heck is this?' This is the umpteenth cool toy from Takara (Original creators of Transformers) that hasn't made it state-side yet. The toy, of course, is based upon an anime piece called Knights of Brave-Great Goldran. I have no idea what it's about, all I know is that the main mech of the shows is awesome. The piece is a gestalt composed of three robots; one dragon, one lion, one condor. They each can transform into robots, and they all merged into one giant, gold-colored robot, hence the name. The box is about the size of the old Fortress Maximus box, so this thing is a MONSTER. For the unfortunate collectors who aren't familiar with the scale, the box was approximately 24" x 10" x 6", Yep, this thing is HUGE. Yep, this toy rocks.
3. 'Gladiator', Dreamworks. 'Gladiator' was the one movie for me that when it was over, I went 'wow.' Sure 'X-Men' and 'MI:2' were fun, but 'Gladiator' touched your imagination and your heart. It also proved that Russell Crowed is THE bad-ass in Hollywood right now.
4. LCD flat monitor. Yep, they're expensive. Nope, you can't get a flat monitor that will be as big as the largest regular one. Yep, they are much less of a pain and weigh much less then the monster you are accustomed too. Yep, they are sooooooo cool. .
