Worked as Project Manager for this assignment, which was data conversion from the legacy (IBM) system to a PeopleSoft Application (release 7.5). The team size was 4 and it was our task to determine how the data structures in PeopleSoft were to be populated with legacy data and the impact of the same on the intended functionality of various modules (Inventory, Purchasing and AP).

• Required to understand the data structures in the legacy system and map these over to the PeopleSoft equivalents.

• Plan and oversee the design of the conversion process and keep the user community included and informed about issues.

• The team used SQR and ‘Convoy’ as conversion tools.

• Build and execute test plans and scripts to validate the conversion process.

• Required to interact with technical and non-technical personnel.

Silicon Graphics Inc
Joined the Admin-IS organization and assisted in the roll-out of Oracle Applications for the departments of the Admin/ Finance organization.

• The modules in question were Oracle GL, Purchasing and AP.
• Tasked to help the user community understand the functionality provided by Oracle applications and assist in the users in adopting the same.
• Provide on-going support as a Business Analyst with core technical staff and the user community.
• During the CRAY merger, Assist the team in mapping their business process model to the one in operation at SGI and configuring the application to facilitate it.
• Part of the team that successfully completed the upgrade to Oracle 10.7. Investigate evaluate and calibrate the additional functionality that was provided in the new release.
• Required to draw up test plans and suites to ensure that all the modules were adequately tested.
