Mario, Nintendo's leading mascot is back as one of the first titles for the GBA. The cartridge includes Super Mario 2 and Mario battle, which is similar to the version in Mario 3. Super Mario Advance is more or less the same as the original Mario 2 game wise. Therefore I am not going to go on about the gameplay. It's basically same old Mario mechanics (which is good). There are still a few differences in the game, Such as the graphics are a bit improved from Super Mario 2, and that areas are a little more detailed. Also, the boss stages are more intricate than before making it a sort of new feeling. Otherwise, you are getting the same exact game as Mario3. The Battle Mode is a pretty neat feature that has been added to make the game multiplayer. You can play by yourself, or with 3 other friends with only one cartridge! The object is to kill all of the enemies on the stage, and if you play with friends you kill all the enemies together. :-) If you are a huge Mario fan or missed out on Mario 2 when it was released for the NES, you should definetely pick this game up. -Rossalameuw- |
