The highly anticipated release of the Pro Wrestling Encyclopedia: 2001 Edition is here. Released in the spring of 1998, the original Pro Wrestling Encyclopedia was an attempt to publish a reference material that could be used by both the "smart" wrestling fan and the casual fan as a starting point to better familiarize themselves with the sport. The book did better than expected in sales and a second printing was required later that year.
After a three year sabbatical the second edition of the Wrestling Encyclopedia will be released in September of 2001. The new version of the book will contain double the information of the previous edition. Contents of the book include:
Wrestling's number one journalist, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter called the book "A fantastic piece of reference work....pretty much a must as a reference material for anyone who ever writes about pro wrestling"
Kyle Niblett of the St. Petersburg Times, Lords of Pain and Pro Wrestling Daily said the book is "definitely the best collection of wrestling knowledge ever put together. I found myself just sitting there reading page after page."
Greg Rufolo of Pro Wrestling Monthly says the Pro Wrestling Encyclopedia "serves as an excellent reference book. This new edition takes it to the next level and is a very comprehensive look at the wrestling industry and the major events that have helped to shape it."
"Simply amazing" proclaims Rob Bihari, Lucha news reporter atHighspots!
"Awesome!" Says Calvin Martin, webmaster lordsofpain.net
Even NWA Vice-President Bill Behrens enjoyed thumbing through the Pro Wrestling Encyclopedia! Be sure to check out one of, if not the best, independent promotions on the planets, NWA Wildside.
But don't take their words for it...see for yourself!
