I have my dear friend Tricia to thank for letting me borrow not only this game, but her PlayStation2 console to play it on. This game is filled with different worlds from Disney movies. You are a fourteen year old boy named Sora that has to go to these worlds and save them from being taken over by darkness while all the while looking for your lost friends. This game is a definite must for all Disney fanatics.
First becoming popular when I was still in elementary school, but it has far from died out. Now there are more than eight Pokémon games out for the Nintendo Gameboys. Your character starts off with just one "pocket monster" and from there you have to train it to be stronger, capture new pokémon, and defeat other pokémon trainers in battle. Every gamer has to have played at least one Pokémon game and it is hard to forget, but it is a game that is easy to grow out of.
This game is by far one of my favorites. Based on Hayao Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky, which is in turn based on the world of Laputa from Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels, you have to save the world from being destroyed by the power of the moonstones. Being an anime role playing game with air pirates with wonderful characters, Skies of Arcadia is difficult not to love.
Sonic the hedgehog is my all-time favorite video game character hands down. First appearing in the early 1990s on the Sega Genesis console he has not only survived but thrived. Even so, Sonic's second game is my favorite and I still love the third game. It's a simple side scroller game (2-D generally running only to the right), but it's graphics were far advanced for its time and I can never tire of it.
Tails Knuckles Sonic
This is my favorite game for the Nintendo Game Cube. It has plenty to keep you busy, including two story modes, alternate missions, multiplayer, the beloved little creatures called chaos, as well as other unlockable features.
Although it has an excellent one player game, multiplayer is the way to go. In this fighting game with a wide range of classic Nintendo characters it's an all out fighting frenzy of punches, kicks, projectiles, and special attacks. Super Smash Bros. Melee is a must have for all Game Cube owners.
Yu-Gi-Oh! The Eternal Duelist Soul virtual card game is one of many that are based on the cartoon for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance. However, this version, at least in my opinion, has the best game play. It more closely follows the show, has a better selection of cards, better graphics, and rules that just plain make more sense. Although seemingly dull and childish, this game uses strategy and is quite addicting.
