There are three residency programs at AILM: · Worship Associate, a 2-year program focusing on the understanding, preparation, and execution of Liturgy and worship services, · Bachelor in Church Music, a degree program with emphasis on the skills of a church musician, with all students required to take Choral Conducting as major area of study, · Master of Theology in Liturgy and Music · Master in Church Music These two graduate programs offer the students a more critical study of worship and its elements, the Practice, Theology and Principles of Worship, and a higher level of skill in music in the Church Music program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF AN APPLICANT Admission requires applicant to have completed at least the high school level or its equivalent, proficient in oral and written English and his or her training to be endorsed by the church to which he or she belongs. Deadlines for applications are February 15 and May 15. The first semester begins in June while the second begins in November.
ACCOMMODATIONS Dormitory rooms accommodate two persons. Availability is based on priority. Foreigners are given first priority in rooming.
SCHOLARSHIPS Training at AILM is subsidized. Scholarships covering fees and some food allowance may be granted to students of outstanding performance. Slots are limited.
THE FACULTY The roster of faculty members includes names of some of the best people in composition, choral conducting, liturgy, theater arts, visual arts, and theology.
