September 9, Full Goose Shelter - mile 1891.6

Praise the Lord! I'm in Maine! And every bone in my body hurts, in sync with the NOBO saying "no rain, no pain, no Maine." If ever before I have complained about some section of trail that went "straight up and down" the mountains, I take it all back. Maine invented straight ups and downs and there's nothing in between.

There's not much else to say...I'm tired and I hurt but I'm so happy to be in Maine - FINALLY! I felt like New Hampshire lasted a million years!
