Gratitude

I would be remiss if I were not to take a moment and express my gratitude to those special people in my life.

To my daughter:
Although I am always kissing and hugging you and saying that I love you, it seems somewhat superficial, not nearly eloquent nor meaningful enough to convey the depth of my feelings at having you be a part of my life nor the breadth of my love for you. My pride in you also knows no bounds. I am proud of your intelligence, your willingness to seek out knowledge in any and all subjects, your ability to absorb it and incorporate it in your life. I am proud of your athleticism, cheering for you in those heady moments of victory and also, the poignant ones of defeat, knowing that, in both, you are a winner for doing your best. I am very proud of and deeply in love with you.

To my friend:
Thank you for the gift of frienship and passionate love.

To my dad:
Thank you for teaching me the important lessons of life - how to drive a stick shift, how to ride a motorcycle, how to drink with the best of them and how to enjoy life!

To Tore:
Thank you for so eloquently describing to me the forest while I stood in confusion amongst the trees.
