Now, meet the Elite team relaxing...
At Elite Educational Institute, students
always
come first. But that doesn't mean that staff members and administrators can't
get out and have a good time once in a while!
This next series of pics includes some great shots of us feasting at one of our staff dinners, then singing our fool heads off at one of the many "singing rooms" that you'll find in Korea. As a confirmed "non-singer," it was a real stretch for me to pick up that microphone and serenade my colleagues with a proudly Canadianized rendition of Merle Haggard's "Oke from Muskogee." I also sang "Nowhere Man" by the Beatles and, according to the karaoke's built-in rating system, scored 100% on both songs!!

Golf Resort Trip
In early November 2001, several of
us went
on a fabulous weekend jaunt to Oak Valley
Golf Resort
near the beautiful city of WonJu. (No,
I didn't play any golf: one 18-hole round costs over 200,000 Won, which is
about $200 Cdn.)
