The baby home is located in Zavodskoy district in a former kindergarten building and is under control of the local public health services department. The baby home houses 105 babies whose age ranges from 1 month to 4 years.The main task of the baby home stuff is to find a family home for the children and they successfully manage to carry it out.

All babies know what a real home looks like.

    70 children were adopted by caring parents in 2000. Many parents come to see us and we are glad to share their happiness. Some parents send their pictures and videocassettes. The caregivers form a real affection for the children and it even happened that caregivers adopted the orphans they took care of. Our babies are open, outgoing, friendly, curious and communicative.

Toys help to be creative.

    They very often choose their moms and grandmas among doctors, nurses and caregivers. The baby home personnel are allowed to take babies home for weekends and when going on vacation. It improves emotional and physical development of the babies. In our baby home there are Montessory classes conducted by a teacher who took special Montessory courses. We have highly qualified pediatricians who contribute greatly to a high level of medical rehabilitation of the children. Unfortunately many children don't find "their home" while being in the baby home and are transfered to an orphanage

We have also problems like many institutions of this type: lack of financial support, poor biulding maintenance so housing conditions ot the babies sometimes leave a lot to be desired.
