Introduction
3 How it works

3.4 Go global!

The term 'world peace' suggests that plans are to be on a global scale. As neighbourhoods can be a battle field, so can cities, regions nations and continents. Even if one nation lives in peace it will not be secure unless the nations around it live in peace as well. Living in peace and wealth will feed jealousy among less fortunate regions around unless help is provided. If help is provided to one region, other regions might start to complain and very soon prejudice will arise. It is thus hardly possible to keep 'peace' inside city, region or nation boundaries and it is furthermore highly unfair to exclude other regions from this peace. Peace must be on a global scale (a universal scale if we get to know about life on other planets).

A global education network also has several benefits as to the efficiency of education in general. A global education fund can distribute resources evenly to ensure equal access to education for every region, regardless of the regions financial resources; it will also encourage students to do part of their studies aboard and thus to gain better knowledge (if the subject is related to another region, as would be relevant for example for history of certain countries, religion, geography or languages) and to make friends across cultures to favour intercultural understanding.
