06 "Grown Up"
"Otona dayo" (オトナだよ)

Hinako is seen on her way back home. She is all cheery at that time until she return to an empty home. After seeing a note that say her parents will only come back tomorrow night, Hinako became rather sad and disappointed. I suppose that propel her to carry her necessities to Sana's room. Sana is playing a eroge at that time eating some instant noodles. He is stunned to see Hinako with bags along. Then, Hinako wants him out of the room so that she can change. Sana obediently did as she said but feel that something is wrong. When he is overwhelmed by such thoughts, he prompt him to open the door carelessly and saw Hinako's naked body. He got scolded by Hinako relentlessly. After she has changed, a stunned Sana discover that she is actually going to stay here with him. He obviously object to that but Hinako defiantly say what is the problem. She said that he should be thankful that a beautiful maiden, like she is, is willing to stay with him. That made Sana want to knock some sense into her, taking a few steps forward and tripping onto a magazine on the floor. He virtually landed right onto Hinako on the bed just as Aoi walked in and saw what has happened. She thought Sana is about to 'do' it with Hinako again.

After she has calmed down, Hinako explained everything to her. Amazingly, she think that it is okay with Hinako to stay with Sana. The boy does not think so at all. After Aoi left the place, Hinako tries to do some homework when she notice what is displaying in the laptop. She urge Sana to concentrate in his studies instead of playing games right now. He did listen to her but he soon got stuck in a problem that even Hinako think that it is easy. He is completely being looked down by Hinako. Later at night, Hinako went to buy ingredients for dinner tonight. Sana wonder if she really should cook but Hinako assure him that she is better than last time now. Unfortunately, even though the presentation is decent, the taste still need to improve tremendously. They eventually went to the same old restaurant they once met to eat. Hinako manages to collect the complete set of Yeti dolls as well. Back home again, Hinako warn Sana not to peek at her when she is bathing. Sana promised that he would. As she went into the restroom to do that stuff, Sana tries to get her contact information and hopefully find and tell her parents that she is with him. It is then that he notice that day is Hinako's birthday and decide to do something about it. 

After she came out of the restroom, they watch some television together. When Hinako feel that it is time for bed, Sana cooperated with her and decide to sleep as well. Sana had thought that she is willing to sleep on the ground since this is his room and his bed anyways. But he is to be disappointed. While still trying to sleep, Sana hear Hinako saying that he can come up to the bed and sleep with her. Sana is stunned when he hear that and Hinako is quick to explain. Apparently, she has a plushie that she always sleep with but due to he fact that it is too big for her to carry from her home here, she left it there. It is something that her father brought her for a birthday present. She just want Sana to be her plushie for tonight and demand him never to say what happened tonight to anyone. Sana agreed. The next morning, Hinako seems to forget that she is in Sana's room and threw a pillow at him. She later said that this is something that she cannot be helped and Sana has to leave with it. Sana then tell her to get dressed after breakfast as they will be going out together. Hinako does not seem too enthusiastic about that. While they tried to walk down the stairs of the building where Sana lived, Aoi is seen spying on them with a pair of binoculars. She phoned Syuri to commence the operation as soon as she see them leaving the building. On the train, Sana tell Hinako that he actually need her help in selecting a present for a girl. Hinako began to guess who is the girl he intend to give a present to.

She started by guessing Nanaka but think that she is too good for Sana. Then, she guess Aoi which she object violently and will not help him if that is the case. Sana then ask why she need to know that as Hinako states that it will make it easier for her to get the correct present for the correct girl. Sana cannot say that the present is for her so he just describe Hinako to her. She is stunned when she hear that Sana has said not one good point about her which she does not know. They started shopping as soon as they reach the destination they are heading with Hinako already suggesting which is to buy for the girl. When they reach the section that sells clocks, Sana receive a message from Syusuke and tell him where they are. Syusuke soon arrives as though they have met here coincidentally with fancy shirt and pants. Sana cannot find anything coincidental about him being here at all with his lousy acting. Syusuke then ask why they are here where Hinako just tell him the truth. She show him what they are buying for a present to whoever Sana is giving it to. Knowing fully well that this is a present for Hinako, he decide to buy half of the cost of this present. Hinako feel impressed by that.

Later, Sana suggest treating Hinako lunch for helping him out today. Syusuke then added that they should go and see a movie later. Hinako agreed. As the sun sets, they return to Sana's room with Hinako getting a surprise inside. It appear that everyone is already there preparing to celebrate her birthday with her. Sana give the present he has brought to Hinako as well, letting her assume that everything that has happened today is all for her. She is totally surprised and happy about it. As usual, she has her birthday cake and perform the candle blowing ceremony. Everyone give birthday gifts to her. But all has to end eventually. When Sana notice that it is getting late, he tries to tell Hinako. But it seems that she already knows that. Hinako stood up and thanked everyone for today. But just before she go, Syusuke ask everyone to sing a song for her. Everyone did including Hinako. Sana then see her home and in the end, get a goodbye kiss by Hinako on his right cheek.

07 "Teacher's Caramel"
"Sensei no caramel" (先生のキャラメル)

In school, Sana and Nanaka deliver some homework to Yuzuki. When they did, she ask Sana how he is coping with the school. Sana say it is good and credit it to Nanaka and Syusuke. Just before they leave, Yuzuki give them each a caramel. Sana's past memories kicked in. He remember someone giving him the same object when he is a kid. He soon snap back to reality, leaving with Nanaka. She is amused by the bewildered look on Sana's face as she realize this might be the first time Sana has received a caramel from Yuzuki. She states that she usually did this to students that do well in his/her studies or something good and even though she tries to hide this fact, everyone in her class knew about it. During lunch, the five had their meals together. Syuri seems to be organizing a petition to oppose the demolishment of the Sakuranomori nature park for the purpose of building a town hall over it. She states that this nature park has been a place of relaxation for the people here with rare species of plant life there. There are memories from all the five here who have visited the park before. Syuri starts to remember hers. That is one of the reasons why she did not want the nature park to disappear. Aoi is the first to write her name in the petition and say that she would ask her classmates to do the same. Later after school, Sana return the classroom key back to the staff room. He meet Yuzuki who ask him if he has stayed to clean the classroom. When he said he did, Yuzuki tries to reward him for his work and give him a caramel. Again, Sana feel nostalgic.

When returning back home, he manage to walk by a series of metal bars placed in the playground. He tries to remember what he did in the past there and soon realizes that the caramel he receive from a high schoolgirl then is actually Yuzuki. Just then, Asami appear and ask Sana who is sitting right below one of the bars what he is doing. Trying to respond to Asami, Sana knock onto the bar and look to be in great pain. After the pain subsided, Asami ask whether he would go back to the old folk home again. Sana agreed without thinking and realizes that he will have to play video games with that old man again.

In school, Syuri and Yuzuki has been called up to the principal's office. Apparently, her petition has been found out by the principal and is questioned as to why she did it since her father is the one who is in charge of that. The vice principal then say that it is wrong for her to do that since her father sent her here to study, not to be political about the decisions made by him and tries to influence people through the petition. Yuzuki is very angry for the vice principal to say that and argue that it is her right to do so and that the petition is never political at all. However, the principal still decide not to let Syuri continue with this. She seems angry. But the real person that is angry happen to be Yuzuki. She basically took Syuri to a restaurant and started to eat like hell. Syuri follow suit and both of them end up almost vomited whatever they have just eaten. They even think of going to the karaoke to digest their food. we will never know if they ever made it there.

Syuri return home afterwards and is told by her stepmother that her father wishes to see her. But Syuri ignores her. It is until her father shouted at her to come in and see him that she did. Her father started questioning why she organize the petition and Syuri said that she is just trying to protect something that is precious for her, Syusuke and her mother. Her father then mistook her that her mother she mentioned is the stepmother as Syuri strongly clarify that the stepmother is never her mother and will not always be one since she is someone who her father married for sex. Her father cannot take what she has just said and slapped her right cheek instantly, causing Syuri to storm back to her room.

Next day in school, Syuri never went there. Sana started to feel worried about her and even ask Syusuke why but he never say. On the bus, he told Asami about it and Asami assume that Syuri is having her period. She never get to tell Sana since it is too embarrassed. They were heading to the old folk home at that time and when they reach there, Sana is immediately taken away by old man Yokoi to accompany him play some games. At the same time, Asami wonder why Poe did not come and greet her. The caretaker say that Poe is missing yesterday and think that it will automatically come back as soon as it is hungry. Asami agrees as well.

Sana is seen playing video games with the old man and it seems that he is beating him. The caretaker then ask them to have a break which the old man reluctantly agree. Sana is seen relieved. Just then, old lady Kaji emerges and notice them. Both Sana and Asami greet her as she began to ask where Nanaka is. Sana say she is a bit busy so she did not come. The caretaker then ask her whether she would like to join them for tea. But Kaji refuse, saying that she is out here just to get a pair of scissors. Before she went back to her room, she walk by Asami and Sana and ask them to come to her room before they leave.

At the end of the day, they did. They arrive asking what the old woman want from them. She ask them to bury something under a big cherry blossom tree on the elder sister hill. Asami tries to ask her what is that something that is kept in a box. But the old lady never say. Asami and Sana then left with that something but before they can even start heading to the hill, Asami hear the bell of Poe's collar ring. But she never find it anywhere. Asami and Sana soon reach the hill and buried that something into the large tree.

At the same time, Nanaka has came out of her home, seemingly preparing to go shopping to food. As they have finished burying it after pondering why the old woman would want them to do that, Asami suddenly feel lightheaded after standing up and fall onto Sana. Worried about her, Sana allow Asami to use his body as support for a while until she has completely recovered from her lightheadedness. It is at that time that Nanaka see them, becoming very shocked and heartbroken. Sana never manages to notice Nanaka after Asami's lightheartedness has disappeared. He never know a secret is about to be revealed to him soon enough.

At the old folk home, the caretaker is still searching for the cat, Poe. However, one can assume that something has happened to it and the culprit might probably be old lady Kaji.

08 "Secret Post"
"Himitsu no post" (秘密のポスト)

While walking to school, Aoi is glad that Syuri has finally recovered from her sickness which is an excuse made by Syusuke to explain her absence. Syuri confirm that to Aoi and started to act bubbly, even to the extent that she started singing as well. She did not fail to notice that Sana look kind of exhausted as well and ask him why. Apparently, the boy has a long phone conversation with someone immediately after his bath and he feel that he seems to be getting a cold. Syuri immediately advises him to take good care of himself. Walking behind her, Syusuke look concerned. Nanaka arrives and totally ignore everyone even if Sana greet her. Sana is shocked and tries to find out why she is so angry today. Nanaka, at the library after he kept chasing that to her, eventually tell him that she saw him hugging Asami yesterday. Sana tries to explain by saying that it is an accident, the same thing that happen to them when Nanaka is startled by a raccoon. Nanaka sort of think that Sana is saying he has no feelings for her and get even more angry again, telling Sana that she would never want to talk to her again.

But unfortunately, they still have to go to the visual/audio room for committee meeting and Sana has to stick with Nanaka. Just as they are about to reach there, Asami arrives, thanking Sana for helping her on the Saturday. She hope that they can do it again someday. Nanaka walk in looking disgusted. On her way back, Sana follow her there and ask why she is still angry with him when he already have explained it to her. He then said that Nanaka has changed. A weeping Nanaka responded by saying that he has changed as well.

Sana return home frustrated, wondering what is wrong with Nanaka. He states again that Nanaka is no longer the Nanaka he knows and wonder why. He started thinking about the past and remember that he has always been there for her because she need it. They even have their own mail service where they used an old and unused mail post to keep their letters for each other. They both have a key that lock the mail post so that they can take the letter that is thrown inside the mail post only by themselves. They exchange letters like this for a while until Sana had to leave town. Remembering the key to unlocking the mail post, Sana tries to find that key. He recall bringing it back here along and started ransacking his room. Finally, he began searching through the last box of stuff that contain his eroge items and find a metal box. Just as he is about to open it, Aoi came in saying that she has brought over some food for him for dinner and saw the eroge games on his bed. That is not it. She mistook the used tissues on the ground he has used to blow his nose that were used for a totally different purpose and embarrassingly rush out of his room. Sana tries to explain to Aoi and while trying to stop her from leaving, kicked the metal box open. He immediately saw the key scattered among other things on the ground.

Sana then head to the mail post and open it, only to discover many letters inside. One of them is written a repeated series of the two words, "Help me!!!". Sana is stunned. The next day, he approach Syusuke and get them to the rooftop of the school where no one is there. Sana tries to ask Syusuke what happened to Nanaka, knowing that he already have some suspicion. Seeing how determined Sana wishes to know the truth, Syusuke tell him. Three years ago, a fire broke out in Nanaka's house. Only Nanaka barely manage to escape by jumping from the window of her room. Her parents died in the fire. It is suspected that this is done by an arsonist but no suspect is ever caught. The police at one time even suspect Nanaka who has some difficulty remembering what exactly happen before and during the fire. Even since then, Nanaka change into someone she is right now, no longer what Sana used to know.

Again, Sana is devastated. He ask why Syusuke did not tell him earlier. His best friend just replied angrily that it will change nothing even if he tell him now. Syusuke is right. Sitting on the bench somewhere near the playground, Sana remember what Syusuke has said. Just then, Yuzuki arrives wondering why he looked troubled. She decide to give him a caramel to cheer him up when Sana, out of curiosity, ask her why she is giving out caramels. Yuzuki tell him about her childhood days, being always alone at home. Her parents were always working and earn money for their livelihood as well as their sick mother and the only thing that Yuzuki can do alone at home is her pocket money. She has always hope that her mother will come back home earlier and have some afternoon snack with her. Out of loneliness, she decides to use this money to give herself her own afternoon snack. She started play acting, taking the role of mother and daughter at the same time. Using that to comfort herself, she soon realize that the pocket money is not enough to let her have afternoon snacks every time.

 That is why she figure out that a box of caramels will be able to let her do that. Every single time she do something good, she would reward herself a caramel. When she became old enough and decide not to play acting anymore, that habit of rewarding herself never change. That lead her to bring a box of caramels along wherever she goes. And then one day, she saw a boy trying his best to do hip circles on the horizontal bars. The boy is almost able to do that when he give up suddenly. Yuzuki decides to give a caramel to him to cheer him up and encourage him not to give up. Once the boy accept her caramel and eat it, he is raring to go again. That is the first time she ever give caramels to people and it continues until now. Sana, when Yuzuki mention about the boy, is encouraged by her again. This is when he decides to call Nanaka out and talk to her. He did that immediately, thanking Yuzuki for helping him. At one glance, Yuzuki thought that Sana is that boy she helped long ago.

At the mail post, Sana meet Nanaka. He tell her that he knows everything and say sorry for being oblivious to what happened to her. A shocked Nanaka merely say that it is useless now. She said that he wasn't there when she need him the most and accuse him that he has totally forgotten about her and enjoying life by himself. Sana is about to blurt out what exactly happened to him during the period he left town but managed to stop himself. Nanaka, already in tears, cried even more, longing for him to be there for her during that time and even now. Sana then promise that he will never disappoint her again. Back home, Sana tell his mother that he is ready to be strong now that he has someone to protect. He promise that he will. We shall see about that.

09 "Do Your Best! Animenger!"
"Ganbare! Animenger!" (がんばれ！アニメンジャー!)

Nanaka is in her room preparing to go to school. She is preparing to apologize to Sana about what happened between her and Sana during one evening. She tries to find out what attitude she should have when apologizing to him but she eventually give up pondering over that. On their way to school, both Aoi and Sana met Syuri who notice Sana's gloomy face in the morning again. Nanaka arrives as well, thinking of apologizing to Sana. But she decide to forget about it. During lunch, Aoi suggest all of them go to a theme park. She suggest inviting Hinako as well. Back home, Nanaka is preparing dinner with her aunt when something caught fire and cause Nanaka to freak out. At that moment, she seems to figure out who the arsonist is. But eventually, she failed to do so. While lying in bed, she apologize to his uncle for being a trouble for them. His uncle just ask her to rest up and not think about the past anymore. Nanaka did.

However, nightmares haunted her. Images of the fire resurfaced in her mind again as well as who might be the arsonist behind the fire. But she woke up before discovering who that is. Feeling thirsty, Nanaka decide to go to the kitchen to get some water when she overhear her aunt telling her uncle that they should bring her to see a specialist on hypnosis so that Nanaka can recover back her memories. Her uncle say that it is not necessary since that will only hurt Nanaka. It is only then Nanaka began to suspect whether her uncle is behind that fire. Remembering the investigators at that time telling that there is some kind of a dispute between her uncle and her father, her suspicion grew. She just cannot accept the fact that he might do such a thing.

Eventually, the day to go to the theme park came. Both Aoi and Hinako is excited about it. They basically tried every single machine there is in the theme park and Hinako end up being totally tired about it while Aoi is still energetic and raring to go for more rides. Syusuke wonder what happened to Aoi who should be scared of those death defying rides. Syuri tell him that that side of her appear when she had tasted the slide during their time at the spa. It seems to be the case as the energetic Aoi propose to challenge the Viking Ship ride, leaving Hinako relatively helpless to go with her. Syusuke and Syuri followed them while Sana stay with the tired Nanaka. As they went for the ride, Sana and Nanaka made their way to the food stores nearby. It did not take long before Nanaka discover that Asami is here with her cousin, Youta. After the ride is over, everyone came to see Asami and a very shy kid, Youta. He cannot even try to act friendly towards them even when Asami asked him to.

All of them went to the Haunted House, trying to test their guts in this event. Nanaka is virtually scared by her experience inside despite the fact that she told Sana seriously that she isn't. Hinako went with Youta next. With the scared Youta virtually unable to go on, a brave Hinako basically guided him out even though she herself is quite spooked by the experience inside. The two still manage to come out successfully as Youta seems to get attached to Hinako.

All of them head to a live action show next with the villain of the show, Electromagnetic Shogun trying to create havoc and cause trouble for the heroes, Animengers. He proceed to try to get someone from the crowd to play a part in the show, spotting Hinako in the masses. Aoi thought that the Shogun is looking at her and attempt to tempt him to select her for the show. But instead, the Shogun selected Hinako. Aoi is disappointed due to this. Once Hinako is taken up to the stage, the Shogun proceed to call out the Animengers. The MC of the show urges everyone in the audience to do the same as well as they did, including Sana and the others. Eventually, the Animengers emerges and proceed to sweep clean the stage of baddies. Hinako even tries to ask one of the baddies to use her as a hostage since to her, the baddies are beaten up too easily. Even the shy Youta cheered the Animengers. And eventually like always, the heroes of the show, the Animengers emerges victorious. Once the show is over, Youta get to take a photo with Red. He is exceptionally happy about that.

Sana and Nanaka went on the Ferris Wheel where she took the opportunity to apologize to Sana for her harsh comments on her. Sana said that it is okay and that help me remember what he must do next: That is to protect her always as promised. Nanaka is ecstatic to hear this. At another cabin, Syusuke tell Syuri to stop forcing herself to be happy and knows that she is in pain. She ask him what she can do then if not act like nothing has happened. He ask her to let it all out so that she can feel better and not so painful in her heart. Syuri eventually listen to Syusuke. On another cabin, Asami notice Syuri crying and is speechless. Later everyone return to solid ground with Asami remembering what she saw in Syuri's and Syusuke's cabin. She somehow feel sad about it.

10 "For Sakura's Sake"
"Sakura no Tame ni" (桜のために)

The Wakatsuki were in their rooms but both were doing different things. Syusuke is watching television while her sister is in her room daydreaming. Meanwhile, their stepmother went out to drink with another man. She started to complain about them, wondering why they are so close even at their age. After the drink, she is too drunk to think straight. The man with her consent brought her to a love hotel and spend a night there.

Days later, Syusuke and Syuri went to pay their respects to their mother. Before leaving, they remember how it is like when they are just kids. Syuri states that Syusuke always has to be dragged around by Syuri since he wouldn't move without her. She tries to hold his hand but Syusuke refuses, saying that they are not children anyways. Syuri can only be saddened by this fact. They head home afterwards. Since they haven't eaten dinner yet, they went to a local restaurant to eat. Syusuke did say that he is not a kid anymore. However, he still manage to leave a grain of rice on his face while eating, Syuri is there to pick that off for her. They went window shopping next since Syusuke say that it wouldn't matter if they came home late or not. Syuri agreed without hesitation. Syusuke attempt to try to hold her hand voluntarily thinking that this will cheer up her sister somehow and did not manage to do it.

They eventually came to a fancy shop and saw something inside called Misanges. Syuri said that they used to wear this sort of decoration around their wrists when they are small. Syusuke decides to buy her one if that would cheer her up. Syuri tries to do the same as well. As they made their way back home, we are able to see them holding their hands like they were when they are kids, walking back home together.

Days later, both of them and their homeroom teacher, Yuzuki were called up to the Principal's office. It is regarding an anonymous letter accusing them of going to a love hotel together. Syuri and Syusuke immediately say that it is not true knowing that they are siblings after all. The Vice Principal said that this is the exact reason why this is wrong. He tries to ask where they were on last Saturday. They responded by saying whatever they have done earlier. He then ask if there is witnesses to this. When Syuri say no as well as saying no towards anyone trying to do this to them, the Vice Principal suspect that this letter might have some creditably. This enraged Yuzuki who confronted the Vice Principal, asking him demandingly not to twist the facts. The Vice Principal then replied saying that she is too biased towards her students. Yuzuki then use her status being their homeroom teacher to justify that. Eventually, the Principal decides not to pursue on this matter but will tell their parents about it. Syusuke and Syuri were stunned.

This is why. Their father, finding this out afterwards, punch Syusuke in the face furiously. Syuri is there to check on him while his father seems frantic, wondering what that will do to his political career. Syusuke is enraged by that and is about to confront him when Syuri stopped him. It is no use doing that now. The next day, Syuri forgetfully touch Syusuke's injured left cheek and apologize to him immediately as she, Syusuke, Sana and Nanaka were walking back to their classroom. When they reach there, Syuri is stunned to see something written on the blackboard and run away in tears. Apparently, someone knew about their letter incident. Nanaka went to check on her while Asami is knocked by the running Syuri. Syusuke stayed in class and tries to find out who did this to them and destroyed a desk in the process. Sana is there to restrain him.

Later, Sana, Syuri and Asami boarded a bus to the hospital. They find out what happened from Syuri. They wonder if it is a good idea for Syuri to come with them to visit old lady Kaji in the hospital with all that stuff that has happened to her. Syuri just say that she did not want to go back home and see that father of hers. They reach the hospital and went straight to Kaji's ward. The old lady is happy to see them. Asami give her a basket of apples and prepare to cut them up so that she can eat. Everyone is stunned when Syuri propose to do it herself. Initially, she is doing great. But until when she lose her concentration, Syuri cut her own finger. Asami went to help her patch it up while Sana suddenly freaked out seeing the blood stained blade. When Asami and Syuri came back, they notice Sana quite weakly, making his way out of the room to rest. Asami went to check on him, leaving Syuri alone. It proves to be a grave mistake. Syuri started apologizing to Kaji for making a commotion like this. But Kaji did not mind. She ask her if she recall about the legend of the sisters hills she has told her before. When Syuri say yes, Kaji then tell her that she would have wanted the sisters hills to bloom with cherry blossoms so that her wish can be fulfilled. Her wish is to resurrect her granddaughter back. She felt gutted that her sweet and nice granddaughter would die in a car accident like this. She cannot this fact so she started offering sacrifices to the hills. First is the bird and then the cat and now she wishes to sacrifice a human. Syuri, hearing this, froze, didn't know what to do even when Kaji came up to her with a knife. Luckily, Asami and Sana came back in and saw this. Asami is the first to react and end up getting herself injured. Blood started to gush out of her head as Syuri screamed with fear.

Later, Asami's parents, Syuri and Sana waited outside the operation theatre in hopes to hear that Asami is safe. The surgeon soon came out and break the good news to them. Sana and Syuri were relieved. Syuri return home to get another surprise. She hear from her father that he is sending her overseas to study. Syuri reject to that violently, believing that this is just his plot to make sure that whatever that has happened to her and Syusuke will not affect his election campaign. She rushed back to her room afterwards and Syusuke manage to be aware of that. He enter the room to find her sister crying and later cried in his arms. She told him what happened today and question when they will be free from that father's control. Syusuke daringly said that they should just do it right now, going to a place where he wouldn't find them. He promised to protect her sister always when that time came. Syuri is comforted by the promise from her former crybaby brother.
