-We are learning our first art techniques, the use of fonts, misting and wet-on-wet painting by applying these techniques to our daily work assignments in order to embellish them in preparation for grade 6 achievement and to present our work in a prideful manner.

-“My Initials Pri-Sec” Project (Painting: students plan their 2 initials according to a rubric, using bubble letters that overlap…they choose two primary colours and use the appropriate secondary colour wherever the letters overlap)

Monday: 1) Math: MQ148 #1-4; MQ149 #1-21  2) I should bring a box of some sort to school tomorrow for my house alarm in science.  3) We’re working intensely on our Winter Celebration concert.  *I received my Science Is…order this afternoon. 

Tuesday: 1) Math: MQ154 #1-6; MQ155 #1-13; We are learning about averages.  2) I write my division unit test one week from today.  3) We’re working on our burglar alarms during science.  4) Let me explain to you what A.D.A.C. means in math. 

Wednesday: 1) Math: MQ158 all; This is a review page for Monday’s unit test on division.  2) We took the opportunity to view our school’s division one’s performance of Zoobilee.  3) I should more or less finish my burglar alarm during tomorrow’s science class in order to be on track. 
Thursday: 1) Math: I’m reviewing by choosing three challenging questions per page studied.  2) All participants of tonight’s Winter Concert are being asked to wear black pants and a white shirt. 3) Due to much Winter Concert preparation, the burglar alarms that are due on Tuesday will not be evaluated…only enjoyed. *Tomorrow is my last opportunity to submit my P.O.T.W..
Friday: 1) Math: I write my Division unit test on Monday.  2) There is no P.O.T.W. for next week.  3) We will begin to decorate our room with decorations that we bring in on Monday.  4) I received feedback on my last journal entry today.  Please initial the rubric.  My next entry is due before I leave for the winter holidays.
