Alpha portrayed by Charles-August Mengin:
Alpha Orphae, Head of Hades' Infernalist order in Eleusia. She serves not only as Hades' hand, but as a sort of mortal Girl Friday. She is quiet, sullen, and often too melancholy to make good company. Her heart and soul are set into her Infernalist work and, while more than one person has foolishly crossed Alpha's path in the past, no one has of yet been so ignorant as to do so twice. She is loyal to Hades and truly her chosen god's mistress; her powers are unquestioned. Beware the Infernalist's ire!
Angelo portrayed by Joaquin Phoenix:
When Angelo was handed the reins of the House Vertus, there were many doubts as to his
competency. Young, unmarried and inexperienced by most standards, he seemed an unlikely
choice to become Lord after his uncle Titamus. Known for his charisma, charm and flare for
speaking, he seemed to have potential that has yet to be developed.
The young Lord's 'instability' as far as being unmarried has worried some. He is
considered an eligible bachelor in the Noble circles, especially considering he is an attractive
young man.
Artemis portrayed by Estella Warren:
The Goddess of the Hunt and Hera's biggest competitor for the city of Eleusia, Artemis spends most of her time in the forest with her Amazons. She fights often with the conniving Ares, but is on supremely wonderful terms with her brother Apollo.
Athena portrayed by Elizabeth Hurley:
The Goddess of Intellect and Justice, Athena balances her virginal purity with her worldly wisdom. Beloved of women and philosophers everywhere, she is constantly at odds with her brother, Ares.
Celandine portrayed by Lexia Doig:
Almost fanatical in her devotion to the healing art, Celandine is best known for
immersing herself in the least palatable ghettos of the city, trying to ease the suffering
of sickness found amongst the people there. Having stepped into her father's sandals, she
can most often be found in the slums, endlessly tending to the ailing, or in Apollo's
temple.
Celeste portrayed by Sandra Bullock:
Celeste is the beautiful sister of Laius. She has a great gift for diplomacy, except where her family is concerned. With them, she is a prankster and very stubborn; the Laius-Lysander-Celeste fights are rumored to have nearly destroyed the home on many occasions. When Celeste is in an ill mood, all tend to avoid her. But when she is smiling, her beauty lights up the room.
Dardanus portrayed in Stone:
Strong, virile, brilliant, Dardanus is the Strategoi of the Eleusian
Military. A commoner, he has risen to that auspicious rank by merit alone, a
milestone never achieved by any of his class before.
Deidamia painted by Phoenix:
The Lady of Eleusia holds her subjects loyalty easily with her gentle, and kind nature. Known throughout the realms to be a fair and just woman, she often finds herself a mediator and confidante. Already known to be strong in her devotion to all the Gods, she proved her own personal strength by casting her husband Laius aside when he threw away his crown. She was once the most faithful and supportive of wives, but feeling abused for the last time she seized the moment and divorced him. Fiercely protective of and devoted to her people she rules quietly and as best she can, but with a determined power that cannot be mistaken. Only the fates know when the Lady shall wed again, once more bringing a rightful Queen and King to the city...P>
Epone portrayed by Claudia Black:
Born of the Wildcat bloodline, Epone is a promising young Amazon warrior. She is often seen escorting high ranking Amazons, or leading other warriors of her camp to help defend her home. Despite her insular upbringing, Epone enjoys contact with outsiders, and sometimes journeys outside of Amazon lands to satisfy her curiousity regarding life outside the Amazon camp.
Hades portrayed by Jeremy Irons: The God of the Underworld, Hades rules over his domain with a heavy hand. If Persephone were not by his side, he would most certainly be lost to the death and despair he has seen since the rise of the Olympians. Without his wife, Hades is a bit more grouchy, as one can imagine, and a bit quicker on the draw.
Hephaestus portrayed in oil paints:
God of the forge, Hephaestus is the most humane of the Olympians. Married to the never-faithful Aphrodite, Hephaestus struggles under an oppressive mother (Hera) and terrible marriage to complete masterpieces in steel and metal.
Hera portrayed by Rachel Blakely:
The comely Queen of the Gods, Hera is known more for her anger than for her oracle following or even the married women she protects. She's been known to meddle in people's lives more than once and keeps Phaedra under her protection.
Hyacinth portrayed in pencil:
Born into a farming family, she was chosen to a life of celibacy as a Hestian
Virgin Priestess. With charm and new ideas, she rose to become the Mistress
of the virgins keeping the sacred flame and their mysterious secrets.
Persephone portrayed by Dante Gabriel Rossetti:
The daughter of Demeter and the wife of Hades, Persephone is a Goddess torn. She spends half the year with her mother, half the year with her husband and all of the year trying to defend one to another. She is the Goddess of maidens and spring time and is known to have been at odds with Aphrodite at least once in their lifetimes.
Phyllicia portrayed by Catherine Zeta-Jones (Douglas):
The Phoenician ambassador has been groomed to take her position from a very young age. Beautiful, intelligent, she is much admired by the men of the city, though not necessarily smiled upon by the womenfolk. The King seems to have a peculiar affinity for the foreigner, though nobody knows quite what sort of affinity.
Xylia portrayed by Carrie Fisher:
The imagine of feminine strength and the second only to Artemis, Xylia
is a warrior of the highest ilk. There are not many soldiers who could
match her in wits and power. Though she keeps herself mostly to the
forests, Xylia has recently began making treks into town, viewing what
could be hers one day.
