The First Brood: Angeronath & Wykorth -- The Hatching
: The Fourth Brood : -- Pending -- : The Fight : Inferior! Theris'vani shrieked her rage to the sky with all twenty seven heads, a deafening cacophany of sound, Are there none here not of inferior stock! The gathered males muttered and shifted amongst themselves, snarling and snapping with narrowed eyes and tails poised to strike. Eventually, from out of the mass slipped Shadu Night. "I lay claim to you," he spoke, head arching proudly as he settled before Theris'vani, tail curling about his feet. Gjallar'tyan sauntered out of the crowd immediately, Back off, cat, she's mine. Yugaht and Turguin, one approaching from each side, reached the clear space in front of Theris'vani at the same time. One of Turguin's heads spat out a hunk of flesh torn from another beast, ignoring Yugaht as he declared, Both of you should go home. I'll be the one to mate with her. Unlikely! Yugaht snarled, What's a lesser-mutt like you going to do, whine at me to death? You are all lessers compared to me, Ziddim'khan declared, as he strode from the crowd, leaving a wake of torn and bloody beasts behind him. I will be the one to mate with her. Theris'vani laughed, drawing the attention of the five rivals, So, there are some here who are not frightened of me! Her main head arched, her lesser heads writhing as they settled on which of five to eye balefully. But I will decide here! Shadu! Ziddim! The two of you may fight for the right to mate with me. She smirked, The rest of you, get lost before I get hungry for something other than mating! Angered, the three rejected claimants slunk off, cutting another swath of destruction through any beast not swift enough to get out of their way in time. Shadu nodded, once, then rose to his feet and stretched calmly. "Well then, sha--" With a snarl, Ziddim leapt, mouths gaping and front paws flexed... Only to fall through Shadu instead of landing atop him as the mutt let himself go intangible long enough to slip to one side, leaving a stunned Ziddim to scramble hastily back to his feet. Shadu hissed at the Chaos, lunging forward as lightning crackled across his fur and began arcing between his two insect-legs. Ziddim met Shadu head to head, rage giving him strength to latch a mouth onto Shadu's shoulder before the electricity locked his muscles. You... cheat! He mentally howled. I... Shadu gritted out as all three of his heads buried their fangs in Ziddim's flesh, am merely using my abilities to my advantage! With that, the lightning crackling through Shadu's fur gained form, hundreds of spider-shaped lightning creatures beginning to crawl across Shadu and leaping onto Ziddim, adding their small crackle-and-zap to the shock already coursing through Ziddim's form. Theris'vani looked on with approval. The strange cat-dragon was truly worthy of being her mate, especially if he passed on his wits and resourcefulness to her children. It wasn't always about brute force, after all. A final arc of lightning jolted Ziddim enough for his heads to whip back, leaving a sluggishly bleeding wound on Shadu's shoulder, but leaving Ziddim on the ground twitching, unable to rise. He turned towards Theris'vani and settled himself once more before her, tail curled about his feet. "I lay claim to you, Theris'vani. Do you accept this, or shall we fight as well?" Theris'vani smirked, moving forward to curl about Shadu, Our children will be creatures to be feared in all the worlds. I look forward to it. Main Course
