Now here we have various pots and fans.
On the first shelf is a fan, made of ivory,
dating back to around the 1920's. It has pink
painted flowers with pink ribbon weaved between
the spokes of the fan. Also on this shelf in the
front, is a crystal perfume bottle from France,
along with an English teapot and sugar/creamer.
On the second shelf, in the middle is a jam compote
with salt and peppar shakers on top. It is extremely
unique in that it was gotten from an estate sale and
is dated around the early 1900's. The pot there is,
again, an English reproduction.
The bottom shelf holds on the left, a Hall teapot in
cobolt blue with 24 carat gold trim. Hall stopped making
their teapots around 1950. This was given to
me by a previous employer! The little set in the
middle is from Japan. I got this myself while in high
school, during a trip to Greenwich Village, New York, at a souvenier shop there. That was acquired in the 1960's!
The small teapot with the 'table setting' on the lid is
Portmeirion {English}. If you look closely, right next to the larger Portmeirion teapot is a tiny teapot pin! Both were a gift
from my son on one of my birthdays.
The fan on the second shelf is peach colored feathers,
with a plastic frame, dating somewhere in the 1930's. It
does not fold. The blue fan on the bottom shelf is from
Japan, dating around the first world war.
As you can notice, there are also quite a few 'tiny' tea sets
interspersed within all of my curio's. These were gotten from
various places, and also hold interest for me. ANY size is a
joy!
