SHE_BEARS
In this picture you will see tea accuterments,
crystal knife rests, etc.
On the first shelf, on the right is a tea bag holder/strainer that is a reproduction, made of English china. The teapot there is also a reproduction of an English china pot, given to me by a 'special' friend, IRIS, on the computer!! The small plate in the background is a Delft original. It was given to me by my brother and his wife, while they were in Holland on vacation. Just above this plate is a pink feather fan that was given to me by IRIS along with the teapot!
On the second shelf, is
a MUSTACHE cup on the left, the newest addition to my
collection. A mustache cup was used by the gentleman
to prevent the tea leaves from interferring with his
mustache! I just acquired this 'special' cup while
on vacation in South Carolina, at an Antique store.
Also on the second shelf is a reproduction of a
Blue
Willow teapot.
On the bottom shelf, is a teaset in black, gotten from
a local auction, from Japan. It consists of a teapot,
sugar & creamer and 4 cups & saucers.
The fans on the first and second shelves are made of
feathers with plastic frames. The first is an antique, probably dated around the mid 1930's ~ 40's. The second feather fan is a
reproduction.
The fan on the bottom shelf is an antique white lace fan
with an ivory frame. Ivory was used often for frames of
fans before it became illegal. { Also, ivory was used for
piano keys before it became illegal. Now plastic is used
in it's place. }
