Senior Intern

Learning under the careful tuteledge of Brian Sullivan, quite possibly the finest music educator I've ever known, teaching all three levels of bands and conducting symphonic and concert bands in public performance. I consider myself lucky to have had this experience.

Scholastic Involvement

Collegiate MENC
Fall 2001 to Spring 2007
  • State FCMENC President 2005-2006
  • UCF Chapter President 2003-2004
With my involvement in CMENC, I have both attended and arranged program meetings with local and statewide educators in order to facilitate career education for myself and my peers. I have also attended and helped to facilitate three FMEA January conferences in Tampa. My agenda as president this upcoming year is to connect CMENC with Tri-M, which has been a continuing project for FCMENC.
Tau Beta Sigma, Zeta Psi Chapter
Fall 2001 to Spring 2007
  • Corresponding Secretary 2002-2004
  • Voted Most Oustanding New Sister, 2002
Tau Beta Sigma has allowed me to do what I love the most: serve the band. Regardless of the capacity in which I am serving, regardless of whether it is the marching band, wind ensemble, concert band, or even symphony orchestra or percussion ensembles, I have been proudly providing service to musical functions since my first semester in college.
UCF Marching Knights
2001, 2002, 2003
  • Piccolo Section Coordinator, 2002, 2003
I marched with the UCF Marching Knights for three seasons. In that time, I watched the band grow and even served as a section leader for 29 piccolos. I rehearsed sectionals outside of regularly scheduled rehearsal time and continually copied music for my section to serve their needs. With the MKs, I travelled to Sweden; New Orleans; State College, PA; Huntington, WV; Virginia; and Athens, OH.
