Clean Re-install of Windows.NO
Re-format.

Make sure you write down the make and model of your modem/sound card/video card and other devices so you know what drivers to install!! If you just want to Upgrade your Windows then Click Here!
Things you need
Startup floppy with which you
can access your Cdrom from unless you have a copy of windows on your hard
drive/s.You can get a generic one from here.KramerRe-install
or Bootdisk.com
Copy of windows on floppies/Cd
or on your hard drive.
A few basic DOS commands.If you
need to learn a few try here,
Dos Commands
Your Product ID number handy.
Files/Folders I save.Windows
address book(find your .wab file)/Windows Favourites Folder/Windows Desktop
folder and I copy and paste them back.
Do a"Find"for the
Deltree.exe program and copy it to the root directory of your main hard
drive,e.g where the autoexec.bat is and also copy it to your startup floppy as
well for good measure.
Re-boot the system from the
startup floppy.
Make sure you are on the C
drive,if that is where your windows folder is.
Type smartdrv a the dos prompt(this will speed up the deletion)or copy this to a floppy as well but you shouldn't need to.Then.....
Type deltree progra~1 (including
the space) and press the Enter key and answer Y when prompted.
Type deltree windows (including
the space) and press the Enter key and answer Y when prompted.
Wait whilst windows is
deleted,can take a while if you have big windows folder and you will hear the
files being deleted.
When it's finished navigate to
your Cdrom drive or wherever you want to load windows from and navigate to the
setup.exe and type setup and press enter.
Follow the install instructions
and Job done.
