The Music has been an ancestral passion and has flowed through the hierarchy of “Kirtankaar” family
His first lessons in music came from his father and mother.
Panditji`s father was a traditional “Kirtankar” and his mother was a well known singer, excellent Harmonium player and an exponent of ‘Pakhawaj'. He has inherited the rich legacy of music from his parents. Panditji received a guidance in Hindusthani Music from Late Pt. Laxmiprasad Jaipurwale.
He was also fortunate to get guidance in light classical music (Thumari, tappa, dadra, kajari, hori, chaiti etc.) from the well known vocalist Smt. Nirmala Devi Arun. He was also fortunate to receive special playing technique and style from eminent musicologist. Guru Late Pt. Bhishmadev Vedi.
WORKS IN THE FIELD OF HINDUSTHANI CLASSICAL MUSIC
- He has developed ‘Shruti Harmonium' – a shruti tuning based Harmonium.
- He is performing Hindusthani classical music in ‘Gayaki', ‘Gatakari' & ‘laykari' styles of instrumental base on his Shruti Harmonium for past 20 years.
- He is giving Solo performance rendering through various musical societies and institutions.
- He is imparting music training to students through sheer missionary zeal for last 20 years
- He is also in approval list of All India Radio
